{"id":29870,"date":"2025-08-22T14:16:24","date_gmt":"2025-08-22T07:16:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/en\/?p=29870"},"modified":"2026-01-15T09:07:29","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T02:07:29","slug":"opening-of-the-preliminary-round-of-the-hanoi-childrens-competition-on-book-promotion-collective-singing-and-mang-non-songs-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/en\/opening-of-the-preliminary-round-of-the-hanoi-childrens-competition-on-book-promotion-collective-singing-and-mang-non-songs-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening of the Preliminary Round of the Hanoi Children\u2019s Competition on Book Promotion; Collective Singing and \u201cMang Non\u201d Songs 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On August 21, at the meeting hall of Quang Minh Commune People\u2019s Committee, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports organized the opening of the preliminary round of the Hanoi Children\u2019s Competition on Book Promotion; Collective Singing and \u201cMang Non\u201d Songs 2025, under the theme \u201cVietnam, My Homeland.\u201d <em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/z6928477894158-ad55aaaf89cc3db6051f695653eac47f-600x400.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Director of Hanoi Center for Culture and Libraries Tran Tuan Anh delivering the opening speech \u2013 Photo: Huu Cuong<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the nationwide atmosphere of celebration toward the 80<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 \u2013 August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 \u2013 September 2, 2025), the competition provides an opportunity for Hanoi\u2019s children to express their love for their homeland, country, and national pride.<\/p>\n<p>This year, despite being organized amid the recent administrative mergers in the city, the competition still attracted participation from 97 out of 126 communes and wards.<\/p>\n<p>The competition consists of two parts: <strong>Book Promotion and Introduction; and Collective Singing and \u201cMang Non\u201d Songs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Part 1: <strong>Book Promotion and Introduction<\/strong>: Teams compete on stage, with each team consisting of three main presenters (excluding supporting illustrators), including:<\/p>\n<p>Opening Presentation: A brief introduction about their locality, library activities, reading movements in the area, Youth Union activities, and personal information of team members.<\/p>\n<p>Book Promotion: Teams can choose forms such as book introduction, book highlights, storytelling, or presentations of books about the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, homeland, country, Vietnamese people, Thang Long \u2013 Hanoi, or exemplary figures in the struggle for national protection and development.<\/p>\n<p>Part 2: <strong>Collective Singing and \u201cMang Non\u201d Songs<\/strong>. Each unit prepares a program around a central theme: Hanoi children singing about the glorious Party, beloved President Ho Chi Minh; praising Vietnam \u2013 the country \u2013 the people; honoring Hanoi \u2013 the City for Peace \u2013 the Creative City \u201cCultural \u2013 Civilized \u2013 Modern\u201d; celebrating family, teacher-student relationships, friendship, love for school, and the dreams of youth reaching toward the future.<\/p>\n<p>Collective Singing and Dance: Perform one collective singing and one collective dance piece.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMang Non\u201d Songs: Perform two pieces.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/lay-600x400.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<em>Organizers presented commemorative flags to the units participating in the Preliminary Round at Cluster 1 \u2013 Photo: Huu Cuong\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In his opening remarks for the Preliminary Round, Director of Hanoi Center for Culture and Libraries Tran Tuan Anh \u2013 Deputy Head of the Competition Organizing Committee \u2013 emphasized that the competition is an opportunity to reflect on the nation\u2019s great and glorious history, thereby inspiring revolutionary traditions, patriotism, self-reliance, national solidarity, and pride in the country and the Vietnamese people.<\/p>\n<p>Through these educational and engaging contest activities, children have the opportunity to spread their passion for reading, promote a reading culture, develop artistic talents, and enhance their understanding of national history and traditions, thereby fostering the responsibility of the younger generation in building a sustainably developed country.<\/p>\n<p>According to the schedule, the preliminary round will take place from August 21 to 28, 2025, at four locations: Cluster 1: Quang Minh Commune People\u2019s Committee;
