The launch ceremony of the \u201cReading Culture Space \u2013 Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam\u201d took place at Go Kim Chau, Ho Van (within the Temple of Literature Special National Site).<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>The \u201cReading Culture Space \u2013 Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam\u201d is an open-access library model serving the community for free, aiming to promote reading culture, spark a love for books, contribute to building a learning society, and encourage lifelong learning.<\/p>\n

With nearly 1,000 book titles, the Reading Space at Ho Van aims to connect heritage \u2013 knowledge \u2013 community, encouraging active participation of the public in cultural life. This space is not merely a reading point but also a cultural hub linking younger generations with traditional values, spreading a love of books, the spirit of learning, and appreciation of heritage, especially among students and young people.<\/p>\n

The space currently holds nearly 1,000 book titles covering diverse topics.<\/em><\/p>\n

The space is considered a “common home” for knowledge lovers, where the public can access hundreds of books on many topics: serving readers with content on history, Thang Long \u2013 Hanoi culture, Temple of Literature and the Confucian examination tradition; notable Vietnamese Confucian scholars; literature and arts; life skills; and many other useful knowledge areas.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The Thang Long Millennium of Civilization bookshelf attracts numerous readers.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>The Reading Space currently owns nearly 1,000 books donated by sponsoring organizations, including: Hanoi Publishing House, Kim Dong Publishing House, Women\u2019s Publishing House, Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers, Huy Hoang Culture Joint Stock Company, Thai Ha Book and Culture Joint Stock Company, Viet Nam Book and Media Co., Ltd (Tri Thuc Tre), along with a large number of circulating books from Hanoi Culture and Library Center. Notably, the Thang Long 1000 Years of Civilization bookshelf from Hanoi Publishing House treats each book as a seed of knowledge sown for the present and future, continuing the flow of knowledge from ancient times to today.<\/p>\n

Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Temple of Literature Cultural Activities Center, shared: \u201cThe Reading Culture Space \u2013 Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam is organized not only to connect young generations with traditional values, spread the love of books, the spirit of learning, and appreciation of heritage, but also to promote the value of Ho Van in hosting interactive and experiential activities related to books. This is the first step in turning Ho Van into a public reading space with a distinctive identity at a Special National Historical Site, as well as a \u2018knowledge playground\u2019 for the community. Together with heritage experience activities, this initiative gradually positions Ho Van as a cultural space of Hanoi, featuring diverse cultural products to attract visitors.<\/p>\n

Experimental activities at at the launch event<\/p>\n

The Reading Culture Space \u2013 Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam serves all audiences, from students and young people to the elderly, tourists, and local residents, offering on-site reading completely free of charge. At the launch event, visitors were able to participate in engaging activities such as calligraphy demonstrations, pottery painting, and handmade bookbinding \u2026<\/p>\n
