Not only that, this place is also a highlight in building cultural life with many outstanding achievements: 98.5% of households have been recognized as \u201cCultural Families\u201d; all villages have established cultural houses, sports courts, and libraries serving community activities; public security is maintained, and the commune boasts over 30 flower-lined streets that are always vibrant with color.<\/p>\n

Green, Clean, and Beautiful Landscape<\/em><\/p>\n Thanks to effective communication and advocacy efforts, local residents have become increasingly aware and proactive in participating in the movement\u2019s activities with a spirit of self-discipline, responsibility, and solidarity. The movement \u201cAll People Unite to Build a Cultural Life\u201d has been comprehensively and widely implemented with five specific components, focusing on building cultural families and cultural residential areas; practicing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals; protecting the environment; maintaining social security and order; developing household economies; and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.<\/p>\n Residents actively plant and care for green trees<\/em><\/p>\n A notable feature of Hong Van is that its residents have a strong sense of environmental protection and are committed to building a green lifestyle. The commune is home to two well-known ornamental creature craft villages, Xam Xuyen and Co Giao. Along with its rich cultural traditions, in recent years, Hong Van Commune has chosen its own path, developing an ecological rural area associated with experiential agricultural tourism. The commune has invested in upgrading village roads into wide lanes that connect all hamlets. Along with improving the transportation system, the local government and residents of Hong Van have planted trees and built flower gardens, ponds, and garden houses with ornamental plants. Every week, local organizations and mass associations organize community clean-up campaigns through movements such as \u201cGreen Sunday,\u201d the \u201cFive No\u2019s, Three Cleans\u201d family campaign, and the \u201cBlooming Roads\u201d initiative. Up to now, Hong Van has built more than 30 flower-lined roads with various colors, such as Lagerstroemia, flamboyant, golden shower, and Bauhinia flowers, creating a beautiful and peaceful landscape.<\/p>\n The commune is home to two well-known ornamental creature craft villages, Xam Xuyen and Co Giao.<\/em><\/p>\n Hong Van is one of two tourist destinations in the city that have been recognized as a 4-star OCOP site and selected for the development of high-quality community-based and rural tourism. With an improving economy, Hong Van\u2019s residents actively practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals. Complicated and wasteful procedures in weddings and funerals have gradually been eliminated, replaced by simplicity, thriftiness, and solemnity, while preserving traditional cultural values.<\/p>\n In addition, the residents of Hong Van actively participate in humanitarian and charitable activities. In 2024, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee allocated funds from the \u201cFor the Poor\u201d Fund to give Tet gifts to poor households for the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin (total value: VND 21,000,000); presented gifts to disadvantaged students who have made academic progress (total value: VND 7,500,000); used the fund to assist two near-poor or disadvantaged households in building or repairing houses (value: VND 20,000,000); visited and supported a family with a member missing due to Storm No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi) (value: VND 3,000,000); and gave gifts to disadvantaged households on the occasion of the Great National Solidarity Day. In 2025, local residents actively contributed VND 24,500,000 to the \u201cFor Vietnam\u2019s Seas and Islands\u201d Fund. The work of supporting the poor and disadvantaged groups has always been given special attention. Each year, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee coordinates the \u201cFor the Poor\u201d Fund campaign, mobilizing contributions from organizations and individuals to support the construction of Great Solidarity houses and present gifts to poor households and policy-beneficiary families during holidays and Tet, thereby contributing to ensuring social security and leaving no one behind.<\/p>\n As of the end of 2024, 98.5% of households in Hong Van Commune have achieved the title of \u201cCultural Family.\u201d All villages have built community cultural houses, sports grounds, and reading libraries to serve communal activities and meet the entertainment and exercise needs of local residents.
