<\/p>\nHouse and Bunker D67 is an important revolutionary site within the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Complex. The site is historically associated with the activities of the Politburo, the Central Military Commission, the Minister of National Defense, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People\u2019s Army. From September 1968 to April 30, 1975, this was where the supreme leadership: the Politburo of the Workers\u2019 Party of Vietnam (from 1976, the Communist Party of Vietnam), the Central Military Commission, and the General Command of the Vietnam People\u2019s Army gathered their intelligence and formulated strategic and innovative policies, leading the Vietnamese people to the ultimate victory in the resistance war against the United States for national liberation.<\/p>\n

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People\u2019s Committee, Ms. Vu Thu Ha, and other delegates visit the exhibition.<\/em><\/p>\n The exhibition features 200 documents and photographs vividly depicting the decisive final period from the Paris Peace Agreement (1973) to the Spring Victory of 1975, organized into three main themes:<\/p>\n This section presents the revolutionary situation in Vietnam following the Paris Peace Agreement of 1973. Despite facing numerous difficulties, the resistance struggle of our army and people was approaching a major opportunity. Based on careful analysis and assessment of favorable developments for the revolution, the Politburo and the Central Military Commission, operating from the General Headquarters, made strategic decisions for Vietnam\u2019s revolution, affirming the principle of \u201cremaining steadfast on the path of armed revolution, maintaining an offensive strategy, seizing opportunities, and directing flexibly to achieve complete victory.\u201d<\/p>\n Theme: One Day Equal to Twenty Years<\/em>: Following the directives of the Politburo and the Central Military Commission, our army and people launched the general offensive and uprising of Spring 1975 with a pace described as \u201cOne Day Equal to Twenty Years.\u201d The campaign progressed at a \u201clightning speed,\u201d achieving consecutive victories across multiple battlefields, including Route 14 \u2013 Phuoc Long, the Central Highlands, Tri Thien Hue, and Da Nang.<\/p>\n Theme: Advance Toward Saigon<\/em>: Seizing the opportunity, the Politburo directed the entire army and people to engage in the final strategic decisive battle with the spirit of \u201cspeed, boldness, surprise, and certain victory,\u201d launching a general offensive toward the liberation of Saigon. At 11:30 a.m. on April 30, 1975, the President of the Saigon regime, Duong Van Minh, was forced to declare unconditional surrender. The Ho Chi Minh Campaign achieved total victory, the country was reunified, and the nation was brought together as one.<\/p>\n Visitors explore the exhibition. Photo: Vu Hai<\/em><\/p>\n The exhibition is not only an opportunity to revisit the brilliant pages of our history and pay tribute to the successive generations of heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom, but also serves as an endless source of inspiration, fostering patriotism and national pride, and empowering today\u2019s generation to confidently build and defend the country in the new era – the era of Vietnam\u2019s national resurgence.<\/p>\n The exhibition runs from April 28, 2025, to May 31, 2025, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site, 19 Hoang Dieu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.<\/p>\n On this occasion, the Thang Long \u2013 Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center also launched a plan for the comprehensive management of the House and Bunker D67 site, including research to restore the original colors of the relic.
