As part of the 2nd<\/sup> Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival 2025, a Muong ethnic cultural parade and performance will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 22, proceeding around Ho Guom Lake along the route Hai Ba Trung \u2013 Trang Tien \u2013 Dinh Tien Hoang \u2013 Hang Dau. From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., traditional Muong cultural and artistic performances and promotional presentations will be held at the Ba Kieu Temple stage area.<\/p>\n

The \u201cGreat National Unity \u2013 Vietnamese Cultural Heritage\u201d Week will run from November 18 (Tuesday), featuring a wide range of activities by ethnic communities currently living and working at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (the Cultural Village).<\/p>\n

Accordingly, from November 18 to 24, numerous folk cultural and artistic activities of ethnic communities will take place at the Cultural Village (Doai Phuong, Hanoi) as well as in the pedestrian areas surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake.<\/p>\n

The event is jointly organized by the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; the Ethnic Council of the National Assembly; the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs; the Ministry of National Defense; the Ministry of Public Security; Vietnam Television; the Voice of Vietnam; the Vietnam News Agency; the National Committee of Vietnamese Literature and Arts Associations; the Vietnam Association of Ethnic Minority Literature and Arts; and the People\u2019s Committees of provinces and cities, with Hanoi serving as the host city.<\/p>\n

The festival is expected to offer visitors a rich and engaging experience through a wide range of activities showcasing the distinctive cultural identity of the Muong people. Within the traditional house spaces in Ethnic Village Area III, exhibitions will feature interpretive panels, diagrams, artifact models, residential architecture, handicrafts, paintings, photographs, books, musical instruments, and traditional costumes of the Muong people. These displays aim to reflect Muong culture within the unity of Vietnamese culture as a whole, highlight achievements in production, nation-building and defense, socio-economic development, security and national defense, and community cultural life, as well as introduce local tourism products, signature destinations, and locally produced OCOP products created by Muong communities.<\/p>\n

The main activities of the \u201cGreat National Unity \u2013 Vietnamese Cultural Heritage\u201d Week will take place from November 18 (Tuesday), featuring a wide range of programs by ethnic communities currently active at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Doai Phuong, Hanoi) as well as in the pedestrian areas surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake.<\/p>\n

Specifically, on the morning of November 22 (Saturday), a ceremonial tribute and incense-offering ritual will be held at the K9 Historic Site. In the afternoon, the Cultural Village will host a series of activities, including the Northern Ethnic Cultural Exchange Festival, the Central Highlands Ethnic Cultural Exchange Festival, the cultural and artistic exchange program \u201cColors of Vinh Long,\u201d and the folk music and dance program \u201cFlowers of the Tower Land.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most notably, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 22, the Muong ethnic cultural parade and performance will take place around Ho Guom Lake, following the route Hai Ba Trung \u2013 Trang Tien \u2013 Dinh Tien Hoang \u2013 Hang Dau. From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Muong traditional cultural and artistic performances and promotional showcases will be presented at the Ba Kieu Temple stage area.<\/p>\n

On November 23 (Sunday), from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., the official opening of activities within the 2nd Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival 2025 will be held. From 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., a full rehearsal will take place for the opening ceremonies of both the \u201cGreat National Unity \u2013 Vietnamese Cultural Heritage\u201d Week 2025 and the 2nd Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival 2025.<\/p>\n

On the afternoon of November 24, a scientific workshop titled \u201cPreserving and Promoting Traditional Cultural Values of Ethnic Minorities in Connection with Tourism Development\u201d will be held, alongside a program introducing and promoting Vietnamese culture to international audiences at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.<\/p>\n

Throughout the \u201cGreat National Unity \u2013 Vietnamese Cultural Heritage\u201d Week and the 2nd Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival 2025, a series of meaningful cultural, sports, and tourism exchange activities will take place in celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).<\/p>\n

The Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival is a significant event that honors, preserves, and promotes the traditional cultural values of Muong communities within the unified yet diverse cultural landscape of Vietnam\u2019s 54 ethnic groups. It reflects the deep attention of the Party and the State to ethnic communities, while fostering solidarity and the sustainable development of the nation\u2019s rich cultural diversity.<\/p>\n

The festival also provides an opportunity for localities to exchange experiences and learn from one another, contributing to greater awareness and responsibility in preserving ethnic cultural identity and in the shared effort of national development and defense.
