From December 19 to 21, at Thong Nhat Park, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will organize the Hanoi Food and Culture Festival 2025 under the theme \u201cHanoi \u2013 A Culinary Journey Connecting Creativity.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Van Bai, Vice Chairman of the National Council for Cultural Heritage, shares insights on \u201cThe Knowledge of Preparing and Enjoying Cha Ca La Vong.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s festival brings together 60 culinary spaces showcasing Hanoi cuisine and regional specialties, combined with a diverse series of activities such as thematic seminars on culinary human resource development, performances by artisans, and cooking competitions for students. Notably, the com-based heritage experience area is designed to extend from Nguyen Dinh Chieu Gate to the central zone, featuring creative products made from com (young green rice).<\/p>\n

A highlight of the festival is the \u201cA Thousand Words of Pride\u201d check-in space, accompanied by Acecook Vietnam, where residents and visitors can share their pride in Vietnamese pho. Alongside this are programs featuring traditional and contemporary art performances, photo and book exhibitions, and heritage culinary demonstrations, all contributing to a space for cultural exchange and emotionally rich experiences.<\/p>\n

The com experience space and products made from com are a highlight of the festival.<\/p>\n

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Van Bai, Vice Chairman of the National Council for Cultural Heritage, more than 80% of tourists are willing to spend money to experience cuisine at their destination, demonstrating that cuisine is not only a cultural resource but also a distinctive tourism product that helps position Hanoi\u2019s cultural brand within the flow of the modern cultural industry.<\/p>\n
