Participating in the event were Mr. Tran Thanh Long, Vice Chairman of the District People\u2019s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Director of the Centre for Culture, Information and Physical Exercise and Sports of the District, Ms Nguyen Thi Nga, Deputy Director of the District\u2019s Centre for Culture and Physical Exercise and Sports,\u00a0 representatives from the District\u2019s functional divisions; leaders of the Ward\u2019s Party Committee, People\u2019s Committee and Viet Nam Fatherland\u2019 Front of the District; heads of relevant branches,\u00a0 agencies and unions; Party cells\u2019 heads, heads of the street people groups, school rectors and together with over 700 coaches, athelets, members, youth union members and the masses living within the Ward.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8298\" src=\"https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-49-600x434.jpg\" alt=\"1\" width=\"600\" height=\"434\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-49-600x434.jpg 600w, https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/1-49.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Congress\u2019 opening ceremony was kicked off with a collective force-showing parade participated by more than 700 athelets, umpires and the mass coming from various street people groups. At the Congress, the traditional flame was lit by Mr. Tran Dac Minh, the Ward Party Committee\u2019s head &#8211; cum &#8211; People\u2019s Committee.\u00a0On the festival part, it was rather vividly taking place with many interesting performances, namely: Kylin dance, festival drum, physical exercises by the elders, martial arts, collective physical exercises by pupils, ect..<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8299\" src=\"https:\/\/sovhtt.hanoi.gov.vn\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/2-40-600x434.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"600\" height=\"434\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Right after the inaugural ceremony, the Congress\u2019s Organizing Committee held a tug of war game and awarded 3 prizes, a first, second and third respectively.<\/p>\n<p>By organizing the Physcal Exercise and Sports Congress, Phu Do District had had a chance to reevaluate the development of physical exercises and sports activities among the public and people, the armed forces, cadres and civil servants and officers; as well as the physical education in schools; hence awakening the potentials in physical exercises and sports of a large of people from all walks of life in the District area, mobilizing the entire masses to regularly participate in physical exercises and sports activities in order to improve their health beneficial to labour, study, work, national construction and defence during the current period; at the same time, selecting high-achievement players from the grassroots movement to compete a the District-level Physical Exercises and Sports Congress in 2017.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0By Thanh Phuong<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the morning of 23 April, at Phu Do Primary School, the People\u2019s Committee of Phu Do Ward, South Tu Liem District, solemnly organized the 1st Physcal Exercise and Sports Congress in 2017.
