In 2018, the traditional culture and tourism industry achieved many outstanding results. Many traditional cultural values of the nation are promoted, new cultural and moral standards are formed. Basic cultural institutions at all levels basically perform well the functions. The preservation and promotion of cultural heritage receives the attention of all levels and sectors. Besides, Vietnam sports have achieved many outstanding results. However, besides the achieved results, the traditional culture and tourism in 2018 still has limitations. Specifically, the conservation and promotion of monument values in some localities have not yet been respected, with the phenomenon of artisanal exploitation in the value of monuments. In the field of sports, physical facilities and sports for the needs of training are limited; Funds for procurement of training equipment, competition for national team and young athletes still face many limitations. In terms of tourism, the work of ensuring security, safety and environmental sanitation still has many shortcomings, pollution and accidents affecting the safety of tourists at tourist sites still occur, especially on festivals, high season tourism.
In 2019, the entire culture and tourism industry continued to implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress and Resolution No. 33-NQ / TU on June 9, 2014 of the 11th Party Central Committee Executive Committee on “Construction and development. Vietnamese culture and people meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country”. The task is to effectively organize grassroots cultural activities, improve the quality of the operation of cultural institutions; promote propaganda, moral education, and lifestyle in Vietnamese families.
The mass sports movement in the whole country will continue to be promoted, the industry strives to reach 33.7% of the population and 24.5% of families practice regularly.
