Every organization and business operating in sports, in addition to business and profit-making goals, needs to comply with legal regulations as well as pay attention to cultural and social factors.

That is the suggestion by the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Pham Xuan Tai at the meeting and dialogue conference between state management agencies and representatives of organizations and business enterprises operating in the sports industry in Hanoi City held on the morning of December 26, 2023 in Hanoi.

The Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Pham Xuan Tai chaired the conference.

With the desire to create an increasingly developed sports environment in the Capital, the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports suggested that delegates focus on raising difficulties in operations, inadequacies in legal documents as well as in the City’s regulations, etc. to exchange, unify and clarify the contents as well as review and recommend necessary amendments and supplements to competent levels and agencies.

At the conference, these contents were discussed in a frank spirit, aiming to ensure improved efficiency of State management as well as create the most favorable conditions for businesses to operate and do sports business.

Concluding the conference, the Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports affirmed that developing the sports economy not only contributes to the sports industry but also brings benefits and stimulates the development of other industries. Sports development is not only the task of State agencies but also the responsibility of society, organizations, businesses, and each citizen.

Hanoi City always creates favorable conditions to help businesses operate at their best. Businesses must also coordinate with management agencies to fully implement administrative procedures, ensuring compliance with the law.

Currently, the certificate of eligibility to do business in the sports industry is issued without an expiration date. Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports always tries to carry out procedures for granting certificates of eligibility to do business in the field of sports in the fastest time to facilitate businesses, but it is only issued to businesses and units that fully meet the conditions prescribed by law.

Mr. Ta Hong Hai – Director of Ba Dinh Culture and Sports Center (Department of Physical Training and Sports, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) spoke at the Conference.

Regarding new types of sports operating in club models such as archery, Poker, etc. the Deputy Director of the Department requested that grassroots management agencies must strengthen coordination with police agencies to investigate, control, and avoid the situation of not being able to continue operating and allowing violations to occur.

“The Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports encourages and is ready to create conditions for the establishment of Hanoi teams to compete in sports in the form of socialization. Businesses invest as much in sports as possible. That is a way to reduce the State budget in investment in sports. The policy is that only in sports that businesses do not do, the State will invest.” – Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports emphasized.

The representatives of businesses spoke at the conference.

In addition, the Deputy Director of the Department also analyzed and clarified regulations related to the content of granting instructor certificates in the field of sports, swimming pool business, and exploitation of sports facilities at the schools, etc.

Finally, the leaders of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports highly appreciated the coordination of businesses in implementing State management in the field of physical education and sports of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports; at the same time, we hope that in the coming time, businesses will continue to have closer coordination to contribute to promoting the development of sports in the Capital.
