In 2023, sports activities in Dong Anh district took place enthusiastically and attracted thousands of athletes to participate, compete and thousands of fans to watch and cheer. Typical examples include the Family Cultural and Sports Festival, traditional table tennis tournament, badminton tournament for clubs, volleyball tournament for civil servants and officials of communes and towns, etc.
In 2023, Dong Anh district successfully organized 33 district-level sports tournaments and participated in 26 city-level tournaments. As a result, Dong Anh district’s athlete delegation achieved 38 Gold Medals, 49 Silver Medals, 49 Bronze Medals and many achievements in national level competitions.

As for Dong Anh District’s Center for Culture, Sports and Information, in 2023, it organized 19 sports tournaments. Typical sports tournaments include tennis, chess, Chinese chess, volleyball, youth soccer tournaments, children’s soccer tournaments, Phu Dong Health Association, etc. in coordination with departments and branches to organize 13 sports tournaments such as football tournament for workers and labor officials of Dong Anh district, volleyball tournament for farmers association, etc.
At the center, 85 gifted physical education and sports classes are regularly maintained at the District Center and high schools.
In 2023, the Center advised the District People’s Committee to successfully organize the Ceremony to honor Dong Anh athletes participating in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games.
