Aware of the great role and value of the family, at the same time, deeply grasp the Directives, Resolutions of the Party, policies and laws of the State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and Hanoi city on family work, over the years, the Hanoi City Confederation of Labour has always paid attention to well implement family work under the functions and tasks of the Trade Union. In particular, the Hanoi City Confederation of Labour has directed the Trade Union at all levels to effectively implement the mobilization of employees to build a prosperous, progressive and happy family as well as to widely deploy the movement of “Typical Capital’s Employee Families”; consider this as one of the important and regular tasks of the Trade Union in order to contribute to building that the Capital employee families are truly a home, a peaceful berth, an important environment, directly educating lifestyle and shaping the personality of each person.

In order to improve the quality and efficiency of family work in general and the movement to build a typical “employee families” in particular, every year, the City Confederation of Labour directs the Capital Trade Union at all levels to promote the propaganda of policies and procedures, directives, resolutions of the Party, policies and laws of the State related to the work of building cultural families among employees. The City Trade Union at all levels also promptly deployed and propagated the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Gender Equality, the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence; knowledge on women’s work in the new situation and gender equality work, for the advancement of women; family life organization skills; knowledge of child-rearing and education… thereby, helping to raise awareness for employees, contributing to reducing domestic violence; strengthening preservation and promotion of moral values, lifestyle and good manners in the family.

Along with propaganda, the emulation movements of “Good labor”, “Managing home with work”, “Mother works well – children study well” were also widely launched by the Trade Union, thereby encouraging female employees to rise up to fulfill their assigned tasks, and at the same time, take care of their families, raise healthy, good children, and study well.

More practically, the Capital Trade Union at all levels regularly focuses on taking care of the lives, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees, ensuring jobs, incomes, wages, bonuses, and other regimes and policies for employees, is the basis to ensure that each family of employees has the criteria of stability and sustainable development.

In addition, the City Confederation of Labour also organizes many meaningful activities to support the families of employees in extremely difficult circumstances; interested in the care, education and protection of children.
