The jury conducted to score the calligraphy works to select the participating calligraphers at the event.
Accordingly, during the application round for attending the Calligraphy Festival of Year of Ox 2021 with the theme of Success, the Organizing Committee received 216 calligraphy works, including 78 works of National script and 138 works of Sino-Nom by 95 calligraphers from many provinces and cities nationwide. In addition to the topic of Success, the calligraphers are inspired by the content of praising homeland and education as well as Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam.
From the entries, the Organizing Committee selected 60 calligraphers to meet the criteria and requirements of the Spring’s Calligraphy Festival, and selected the best exhibits to award one Second prize and two Third prizes and four Consolation prizes for Sino-Nom calligraphy and one First prize, one Second prize and one Third prize and one Consolation prize in the type of National Script calligraphy. These works will also be on display at Calligraphy Festival of Year of Ox 2021 at the Van Lake belonging to the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam Special National Relic.

The Xuan Literature Festival at Ho Van, a special National Monument of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam has been held annually from 2015 up to now. The event has become an indispensable cultural destination in the cultural and mental life of the people of the capital and visitors every Tet. The Organizing Committee of the Xuan Literature Festival hopes that this event will inspire people to love calligraphy as well as attract more and more people to this traditional art.
