Movement “All people unite to build cultural life” becomes one of the vibrant emulation movements in the area. Up to now, the whole town has 94.7% of households achieving the title of the cultural family; 66/77 cultural residential groups, reaching 85.7%; 48/66 cultural villages, reaching 72.7%. 98.48% of villages and villages have cultural houses. Cultural movements, mass arts, and sports are increasingly diversified and plentiful, attracting a large number of people to participate. There are currently 9 poetry clubs operating regularly with nearly 400 members. The Town Center for Culture – Information and Sports manages 5 literary and artistic clubs with 160 members. Maintaining classes for children’s singing, dancing, painting, martial arts, and swimming skills, attracting over 1,200 students to participate/year. The number of people who practice physical training regularly reaches 54,580 people, accounting for 40% of the population; 7,790 families meet sports family standards, accounting for 29.1% of households.

In order to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the land of Doai land, Son Tay town has made a dossier to request classification and upgrading of 6 relics. Up to now, there are 244 monuments in the town; 78 intangible cultural heritages, of which, 74 are ranked with 16 national ranked monuments and 58 ranked city-level relics, 1 national intangible cultural heritage. At the same time, 78 intangible cultural heritages in the community are preserved. In particular, Duong Lam ancient village relic continues to receive attention in many aspects.
The implementation of the 2 City Code of Conduct has had encouraging results: cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers consciously abiding by the constitution, laws, rules and work regulations of agencies and units in public service. In public places, people’s awareness has had a positive change in complying with traffic safety regulations, using roadbeds, sidewalks, religious spaces, religions, gardens, parks…
Program 04-CTr/TU widely deployed in the town has also contributed to improving the quality of education and training, the quality of human resources. Up to now, 100% of schools have qualified cadres and teachers; the rate of students passing the entrance exam to colleges and universities reaches more than 80%…
In terms of health care, people’s health care and social security, the town’s health system has been strengthened and completed with 100% of communes and wards meeting the national set of health criteria, reaching 100% set out. The wide medical network has met the people’s need for medical examination and treatment. The rate of participation in health insurance reaches 88.5%, exceeding the set target. As of the end of 2019, the whole town had only 167 poor households, equivalent to 0.44%, far exceeding the set target.
In the coming time, Son Tay town is determined to continue implementing synchronous measures to care for and build people for a comprehensive development; improve physical strength, stature and people’s knowledge, train human resources, foster talents to serve the industrialization and modernization of the town, capital and country. In addition, it is required to promote the movements “All people unite to build cultural life”, improve the quality of titles “Cultural families”, “cultural villages and residential groups”, “ cultural agencies, units and enterprises”, especially the propaganda for the implementation of the 2 City Codes of Conduct, continue to build, perfect and improve the effectiveness of cultural institutions, actively perform the work of preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics in the area.
