Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, to take care of children and ensure their safety, the district has mobilized the resources of organizations, individuals and benefactors to give gifts, rice, instant noodles, milk and other necessities for 260 disadvantaged children with a total amount of VND 116,000,000. Ward People’s Committees organized gifts for 748 children in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over VND 234,000,000.

Responding to the program “Wi-Fi and computers for children”, the District Education and Training Department has mobilized and donated computers and smartphones to 137 disadvantaged students, and English learning cards for 23 students worth VND 720,000,000.
In addition, the district directs branches, schools and wards to strengthen counseling and communication activities for parents, families, and caregivers to regularly pay attention to, supervise, and ensure child safety for rearing and care, ensuring safety for children, preventing drowning, preventing children from falling in apartment buildings, high-rise buildings…, especially during school holidays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, organize activities to take care of, provide psychological support, and build a safe living environment to prevent violence, prevent accidents and injuries, and protect children in the online environment when children are isolated at home during social distancing

Timely implementation of policies to support pregnant employees, raising children under 6 years old and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic according to Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP dated July 1, 2021 of the Government on a number of policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 23/2021/QD-TTg dated July 7, 2021. Regarding the implementation of a number of policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the district has received and supported 77 pregnant workers, 1,170 children under 6 years old. The employee temporarily suspends the performance of the labor contract with a total amount of VND 11,981,885,000.
With meaningful actions, all levels and branches of Cau Giay district have well done the care and protection of children; contribute to creating conditions for children to live in a safe and healthy environment, to develop comprehensively both physically and mentally.
