Directive No. 11-CT/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee on the implementation of a civilized lifestyle in marriage in Hanoi city (2012-2022) has been implemented for 10 years.
During 10 years of implementing the Directive, Dong Anh District has implemented a good job of information, propaganda and advocacy to all people classes. Dong Anh District has promulgated Program No. 03 and Project No. 05 on promoting the implementation of “All people unite to build cultural life” movement; implementation of 5 yes 3 no, including the criteria for implementing a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals. Up to now, nearly 100% of weddings in the district have complied with regulations on civilized living. Notably, among them, there are more than 10,000 weddings held according to new lifestyles in the form of sweet parties, or small scale, within the family; More than 4,000 weddings are held in the form of auspicious announcements. The whole district of Dong Anh has no illegal weddings, no child marriage, etc.

To carry out civilized weddings in the area, many communes have designed a space at the headquarters of the Commune People’s Committee to give marriage registration certificates to couples for implementing the marriage registration procedures, in accordance with the provisions of law, welcomed by the People and young people.
On the loudspeaker system, or in other forms of propaganda, many communes have propagated the residents to practice a civilized lifestyle in marriage, with specific criteria:
– Carry out the marriage procedures in accordance with the law; conduct the wedding rituals with the spirit of “joyful – healthy – thrifty”.
– The number of guests to the party must not exceed 300 people (if the groom’s family and the girl’s family hold a party together, the invited guests must not exceed 600 people).
– Do not hold the wedding party many times; Do not invite guests during business hours.
– Do not hold weddings in places with too expensive costs, not suitable for the life and general income of the residential community and civil servants, such as 5-star hotels, high-class tourist areas…
– Music in the wedding is healthy and joyful, ensuring not to exceed the permissible noise level and not affect the surrounding life; Do not play music before 6 AM and after 10 PM .
– Encourage the form of congratulation after the wedding day instead of inviting to the wedding party.
– Encourage tea party, confectionery; use the cultural house, cultural activities place as a place to hold a wedding party…
During the 2 years of 2020 -2021, when the COVID-19 epidemic occurs, strictly following local regulations, all weddings in Dong Anh District are stopped, postponed, canceled or reduced in size, strictly implementing measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
