This is a practical activity to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN (08/8/1967 – 08/8/2022) and the ASEAN Day of 2022.

The exhibition displays traditional costumes – one of the features in the ASEAN cultural treasures with images of landscapes, cultures, countries, people, heritage and cultural artifacts with the desire to introduce to the public the diverse and rich ASEAN culture. The products on display at the exhibition are characterized by geography, climate, and traditional culture of each ASEAN country, as well as a picture showing the cultural interference in Southeast Asia.

Attending and cutting the ribbon to open the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: “Through the process of formation and development, ASEAN has become a politically cohesive organization, economically linked and sharing social responsibility. ASEAN has also become an important and reliable partner in international cooperation. Besides favorable opportunities, ASEAN is facing many difficulties and challenges. In this context, the ASEAN Community needs to clearly show solidarity among its members in order to create synergy and firmly overcome challenges through proactive adaptation and cohesion of nations. In the near future, promoting ASEAN to rise strongly and sustainably is the responsibility and contribution of each country to the ASEAN Community and people”.

The Exhibition Cultural Colors of ASEAN honors the traditional values and beauty of the soul of the people of each country in the ASEAN community, contributing to strengthening the connectivity, solidarity and friendship among ASEAN member nations. This event is also an opportunity for countries to connect cultures and promote tourism development, especially after a long period of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The exhibition lasts until the end of August 12 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi.
