The closing ceremony is divided into three chapters:
Chapter 1, with the theme “My Hanoi, your love,” will be the place where Vietnamese stars perform famous songs about Hanoi, with a real background of peaceful life directed by Duong Dinh Hai and arranged by Huy Tuan.

Chapter 2, with the theme “Gathering,” will begin with the flag-raising ceremony and the parade of 11 countries, 40 sports, referees, and volunteers. Along with that are the most impressive images in the 12 days of the 31st SEA Games, according to the organizing committee. The highlight of this chapter is the handover ceremony of the flag of the Southeast Asian Sports Federation to Cambodia, the host country of the 32nd SEA Games, and the welcome art performance program of the Tower Temple Country.

Chapter 3 with the theme “Shining” is built as a music, circus, and sports gala with the participation of leading young singers from Vietnam. Opening with the performance of LED DANCE 218 (a dance group from Asia’s Got Talent finalist), the performance combines technology with choreography and shaping; the rhythm of the dance is a continuation from tradition to modern.

After that, the singers Van Mai Huong, Uyen Linh, Duong Hoang Yen, and Ha Nhi perform the closing songs of the program, which combines hundreds of dancesports athletes, gymnasts, and modern dance groups to create a vibrant atmosphere of sportsmanship connecting the world and overcoming the challenges of life.

The organizing committee also recognizes the top male and female competitors from the 31st SEA Games during the closing ceremony. Athletes from this year’s Games who stand out for their breadth of accomplishments and specialization are also named. The organizing committee also recognizes the group of volunteers and referees who made a significant contribution to the 31st SEA Games’ success and adherence to the motto “for a stronger Southeast Asia.”

The 31st SEA Games host, Vietnam, will send the warmest and kindest greetings to friends in the area with a closing ceremony that lasts for around 90 minutes without the use of technology or visual effects.

“If the Opening Ceremony is a grand spectacle with spectacular technology, the closing program will be warm, close, and friendly with the common spirit of “Gathering to shine.” The athletes have experienced many competitions and shined their talents on the stage of the 31st SEA Games. Therefore, the closing ceremony is a moment for us to honor them and spread the spirit of sportsmanship.

We think that all athletes who come to SEA Games 31 are winners. “The closing ceremony will be like a gesture of gratitude to see you all again from the host country, Vietnam,” said outstanding artist Tran Ly Ly, general director of the closing ceremony.

Regarding the space to hold the Closing Ceremony of the 31st SEA Games, General Director Tran Ly Ly said that although it is different from the space for the Opening Ceremony (My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi), there are also distinctive and attractive features.

The stage is designed as a V shape, a V-shaped screen, symbolizing Vietnam, victory (victory), a friendly embrace, open arms to international friends, and is also like a dove, a symbol of peace.

“The audience found it to be the largest and most modern indoor stage in Vietnam ever. However, it also brings warmth as a sincere greeting from the host country, Vietnam, to international friends,” said General Director Tran Ly Ly.

The part of saying goodbye took place with a performance of “Gia Ban,” or “Farewell,” imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity with the Mandarins’ “Moi Trau,” “Gia Ban,” and “Nguoi oi Nguoi o dung ve,” along with pieces of betel nut. The phoenix wings were given to the guests by 100 artisans as a greeting and see you again./.
