On June 26, a meeting to praise typical cultural families took place at the Center for Culture – Information and Sports, the People’s Committee of Bac Tu Liem District with the presence of Mr. Dao Van Trien – Standing Committee Member, Head of the City Fatherland Front Movement Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Viet – Standing Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the People’s Council; Mr. Luu Ngoc Ha – Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ung – Standing Committee Member, Chairman of the Inspection Committee, together with leaders of departments, divisions, disciplines, the VFF, and mass organizations in Bac Tu Liem district.
At the meeting, Mr. Luu Ngoc Ha – Vice Chairman of the District People’s Committee said: “the Party and the State always pay attention to families and family affairs. The Resolution of the Sixth Party Congress affirmed that “a family is a cell of the society and plays a very important role in the development of the new regime, new economy, new people” and the next resolutions of the Party Congress valued the role of families in building and developing the country. Accordingly, the levels, disciplines and all people in the area should jointly promote the construction of civilized and happy families, replicate the typical examples of “exemplary grandparents, filial children, harmonious and responsible siblings”, inherit the traditional beauty of Vietnamese families, fight against negative factors, difficulties and challenges arising in operating the integrated market economy, and build more beautiful and civilized Bac Tu Liem District. Cultural family building has contributed positively to propaganda and encouragement of all people to observe the Party’s undertakings and policies as well as the State laws and regulations. Families have actively maintained environmental sanitation, political security, and social order and safety joined the charity movement, cultural, artistic, physical training and sports activities, and built happiness and prosperity, contributing to restraining and repelling social evils in the area. In 2016, 55,269 in 62,381households, accounting for 88.6% won the title of cultural families. In 2017, the number of households registering to strive for the title of cultural families is 61,905 in a total of 63,015 households, reaching 98.2%.
At the meeting, there were 3 speeches on building cultural families; actively responding to the movements of the residential areas and preventing domestic violence delivered by the delegates from Xuan Dinh, Duc Thang and Co Nhue 1 wards.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Viet – Standing Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the People’s Council recognized the achievements of the movement over the past time. In the coming time, all levels and disciplines should raise awareness about the importance of families and the building of civilized families in the period of industrialization and modernization; include families as one of the important contents in the action plans of the Party committees, authorities and socio-political organizations; strengthen the management of the State and families; actively implement programs on coordination among departments, disciplines and mass organization in family affairs; further communicate the contents of the Resolution of the 9th plenum of the 11th National Congress on “Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the country’s sustainable development requirements”, effectively implementing the Program No. 04/CTr-TU on “Cultural-social development, capital human resource quality improvement and elegant and civilized Hanoian building”; integrate the family affairs with the “All people join hands to build a cultural life” movement; implement the National Strategic Targets on Gender Equality; and preventing domestic violence, contributing to the achievement of the whole district’s socio-economic and cultural development objectives.
On this occasion, the district People’s Committee praised and rewarded 27 individuals and 24 collectives with outstanding achievements in the state management of the families and 85 typical culture households with achievements in building cultural families in the period of industrialization – modernization in 2017.
