Cau Giay District: 92.87% of households achieved the title of Cultural Family

In 2020, the contents of the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” are organized by Cau Giay district to comply with requirements, achieving many encouraging results. The communication of the movement was deployed with many rich contents and forms, closely linked with the campaign “All people unite to build a new countryside, a civilized city” and political duties of the district, especially the thematic contents of Study, and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style. Building cultural titles, implementing urban civilized life continued to be promoted. By the end of 2020, the whole district has 92.87% of households recognized with the title of Cultural Family; the rate of population groups recognized as cultural residential groups reached 89.09%; 114 agencies, units, schools and enterprises meet cultural standards.

Awarded the units with the advanced and excellent title in sports.

The Sports and Physical Training movement has been deployed by the district with many rich, creative and quality forms with the motto towards grassroots, well-implemented socialization to mobilize many resources to participate in the cultural – sports activities. The programs and plans have been implemented synchronously and effectively, the targets have all met and exceeded the plans assigned by the city. The district has been interested in investing in sports facilities for the masses with a budget of nearly VND 4.5 billion. Currently, the whole district has 113 sports fields, 5 soccer fields, 6 schools with swimming pools; 127 regular and efficient sports clubs. The rate of people who practice physical training regularly reaches 45%; the rate of families practising physical exercises regularly reaches 36%; the rate of police soldiers and military soldiers practising physical training regularly reaches 99.5%. In 2020, the district’s athletes participating in the city and national tournaments won a total of 158 medals (55 Gold medals, 43 Silver medals, 60 Bronze medals).

In 2020, the District Party Committee – People’s Council – People’s Committee of Cau Giay district has continued to pay attention to the development of reading culture in the community, especially students. The implementation of the project “Development of reading culture in the community to 2020, with an orientation to 2030” has helped the reading movement and the development of reading culture in the community to attract a large number of people from different classes, especially families, have actively invested in and encouraged their children to read, learn and exploit information and knowledge from books. Since 2017, the whole district has organized 18 reading festivals in wards; 7 publications fairs. Every year, the district holds well the Children’s Contest to introduce grassroots summer books and selects the team to attend the city level with high results: Excellent prize for 2017 and Special prize for 2018- 2019-2020.

At the conference, Cau Giay District People’s Committee rewarded 12 collectives for successfully completing the tasks, 16 teams with many achievements in implementing the movement “All people unite to build cultural life”, 22 typical culture residential groups, 57 typical cultural families; 11 collectives, 11 individuals with excellent achievements in the physical activity movement, 19 schools with excellent advanced performances in sports, 10 advanced schools in sport, 24 individuals with excellent achievements in the movement of sport; 13 collectives and 12 individuals with excellent achievements in implementing the project “Development of reading culture in the community to 2020, with an orientation to 2030”.
