In the face of great impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic on people’s life, Cau Giay district has actively implemented Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP dated July 1, 2021 of the Government on the implementation of certain policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The People’s Committee of Cau Giay District has issued Plan No. 181/KH-UBND dated July 22, 2021 on the implementation of certain policies to support employees and employers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Cau Giay district according to Decision No. 3642/QD-UBND dated July 21, 2021, by the Hanoi People’s Committee to ensure transparency, publicity and compliance with regulations.
Giving gifts to subjects of social welfare and people with meritorious services
As of August 19, 2021, the district has approved and funded 187 employees with suspended labor contracts and unpaid leave the amount of VND 799,915,000 and to 497 employees without labor contracts and losing the amount of VND 745,500,000; reduce the insurance premium for occupational accidents and diseases for 128,768 employees and 8,832 employers temporarily suspending contributions to the retirement and survivorship fund with the amount of VND 4,240,335,000; fund 01 corporate borrower to pay the stoppage salary for 1,246 employees with the amount of VND 5,507,320,000.
Following Resolution No. 15/NQ-HDND dated August 13, 2021, by the Standing Committee of People’s Council of Hanoi City, the People’s Committee of Cau Giay District has issued Plan No. 195/KH-UBND dated August 18, 2021, on the implementation of Resolution No. 15/NQ-HDND dated August 13, 2021, by the Standing Committee of People’s Council of Hanoi City and Plan No. 188/KH-UBND dated August 15, 2021, by the People’s Committee of Hanoi City to support those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the district. Accordingly, it has supported 1,486 people who are subject to social welfare, 1,362 people who are receiving preferential allowances, 17 people who are War Invalids with a monthly allowance for loss of working capacity, 374 people who are relatives of people with meritorious services enjoying preferential allowances under specific policies with a support level of VND1,000,000/person (total funding is VND 3,239,000,000).

In addition, the departments, unions of the district and 8 wards have organized many practical activities to take care of the people in the areas, especially those under blockade and isolation, people in difficult circumstances, such as the model “Kitchen with 0 VND”, “Travel with 0 VND”, “Safety bag of Trade Union” … to timely support the people in the area, especially the students from other provinces, tenants, workers from other provinces who lost their jobs. Thousands of gifts were given in a timely manner, promoting the nation’s tradition of “mutual love and affection”, and at the same time energizing people’s strength and faith in pandemic prevention and control.

Cau Giay District has published a list of phone numbers of the district and 8 wards to receive information about the pandemic, ask for support in case of difficulties or fund the pandemic prevention and control in the areas.
With the cooperation, consensus and community responsibility of the whole political system and the entire People, Cau Giay district will succeed in pandemic prevention and control, contributing to repelling the pandemic in the city and the whole country to return to a new normal.
