Overview of the contest closing and award ceremony.
The contest is part of a series of activities celebrating the 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi is an opportunity for the people of the capital to review the historical and cultural traditions of the land of thousand-year Thang Long – Hanoi culture. At the same time, propaganda and education to raise awareness, fostering and promoting patriotism, national solidarity, pride in historical traditions. Through this, it also aims to discover good ideas, initiatives and possible solutions to promote cultural traditions and history; to build a civilized, peaceful and modern Capital; building an elegant and civilized Hanoi people.
The “Learning about 1010 years of Thang Long – Hanoi” online contest consists of 2 parts: multiple choice and essay. In which, the test has 18 questions in the fields of history, cultural traditions, heritage, relics, celebrities of Thang Long – Hanoi. The essay contest revolves around two contents: Proposing ideas and solutions for the task of building an elegant, civilized Hanoi and propagating, promoting cultural and artistic achievements, promoting the brand “City of a thousand years of civilization, Capital of Heroes, City for Peace.
The Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the People’s Committee of Dong Anh district.
Since its inception (September 2020), the contest has attracted the participation of all classes of people with multi-dimensional perspectives, deeply reflecting the feelings and responsibilities of each person to Hanoi capital. With more than 338 thousand multiple-choice exams and 2,427 essay exams, the exams demonstrate knowledge of history and culture as well as propose many effective initiatives and solutions, such as Restore, inherit, promote the values of ethics, culture, lifestyle in the traditional family of Thang Long – Hanoi; implement synchronous and serious code of conduct system; preserve and promote cultural values of Thang Long – Hanoi in combination with creating, building and perfecting new cultural values; build tourist routes and tours connecting Hanoi with localities in the country; enhance cultural and sports exchanges of Hanoi with provinces and cities in the country as well as international friends …
According to Mr. Tran Van Ha – Director of Hanoi Library, the contest has contributed to encouraging the majority of the people of the capital to learn about the history and cultural traditions of Thang Long – Hanoi, actively showing affection and responsibility in the “donation” to build and develop the culture of the Capital. “Good ideas and creative solutions are proposed for managers to study and apply in practice in the coming time, contributing to the successful implementation of the task of building Hanoi’s civilized and elegant people, at the same time, promote and introduce the cultural achievements, art, tourism products of the Capital to the domestic people and international friends”, emphasized by Mr. Tran Van Ha.
The Organizing Committee awarded the first individual prize to the candidate Tran Thi Huyen Trang (Duc Tu commune, Dong Anh district).
After 3 months of implementation, the “Learning about 1010 years of Thang Long – Hanoi” online contest has created a synchronous effect in researching, understanding the history, culture and people of Thang Long – Hanoi, creating a strong transition, raising awareness in the performance of the task of building an elegant and civilized Hanoian. The final result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 9 Consolation prizes to individuals with excellent entries; besides, there is 1 first prize; 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 15 Consolation prizes for teams with high quality and outstanding works. In which, contestant Tran Thi Huyen Trang (Duc Tu commune, Dong Anh district) won the first prize individually and the People’s Committee of Dong Anh district won the first prize for the collective.
