These days, the city’s Red Cross Society has actively been implementing the Campaign “Connecting the community – Overcoming challenges” (launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society from August to November 2021) to support people in difficult circumstances affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the frontline forces in the fight against the pandemic. In addition to VND 700 million allocated by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the city’s Red Cross Society has actively raised other funds to promote and increase the effectiveness of the Campaign at the grassroots level. With the motto “No one is left behind during the pandemic”, the Campaign will support people with disabilities, the elderly living alone, patients with serious illnesses, families with difficult circumstances, workers having lost their jobs, families undergoing medical quarantine, etc. Accordingly, in each district and town, 300 bags of gifts will be given to the people affected by the pandemic by the Organizing Committee, together with gifts from other donors.
