On January 16, at the Students Culture House (Hanoi), the 50th anniversary of the Hanoi Union of Literature and Art was held.
Attending the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Thi Thanh Hang – Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee affirmed: “Over the past years, especially in recent years, the Hanoi Party Committee always considers the cultural development as one of the major work programs and the central task of the City”.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Hang emphasized: “The XVI City Party Committee has promulgated and directed the drastic implementation of Program No. 04 of the Party City Committee on “Cultural-social development, improvement of the human resources of the Capital, building of the elegant and civilized Hanoi people for the 2016 – 2020 period”. In order to effectively implement the guiding viewpoints of the City Party Committee, besides the efforts of the Party Commitee, the authorities and the people of the Capital, City leaders desire the artists with their creativity to actively contribute to preserving the priceless spiritual heritage of the former generations and promoting more and more the cultural values of Thang Long – Hanoi, and to the development of the Capital’s culture and building of the elegant and civilized Hanoi people to jointly achieve the goal of building a more and more prosperous, civilized and modern Capital.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang requested the Hanoi Union of Literature and Art to continue to thoroughly grasp and implement the Party’s resolutions and guiding documents of City Party Commitee on cultural development, literature and art in the new era, meeting the requirements of sustainable development of the country. In 2017, the Union needs successfully organize the 12th General Meeting of Hanoi Union of Literature and Art to elect the Executive Committee consisting of the people who are truly representative of their team, talented, enthusiastic and able to unite and gather artists to successfully accomplish the task of the Union in the new term. She also suggested the Party committees and authorities, departments and branches of the City to continue to faciliate the Union in succeeding in the tasks of caring, fostering and promotion of artistic talent to increasingly create the valuable works, serving the capital and the country.
