This was the second time authorities and people of An Da village have been awarded the title of Cultured Village. Attending the award ceremony were representatives of the District Culture and Information Office, District Center for Culture – Information and Sports, leadership of commune, village and people living in An Da village.
Being one of the 8 villages of An Tien commune, An Da has strong historical and cultural background. In the period of 2014 – 2016, An Da village had achieved many positive results thanks to the high consensus of the people. On economy, the completion of land consolidation has facilitated the application of science and technology to production, utilization of high quality seedlings, development of farming model, expansion of small and medium business lines, and increase in income of people. In 2016, rich households in the village account for 22%, and the medium households account for 74%. There has been a dramatic drop in number of poor households, to nearly 4%. 99% of village roads and alleys are made of concrete; 100% of households are granted power and hygienic water.
On spiritual life, the movement of building “Cultured family” has been promoted with 94% of households being recognized as cultured families by 2016. Culture, information and sports facilities have been invested to meet growing demand. The village strictly complies with the regulations on cultured villages and builds a civilian lifestyle by organizing weddings, funerals, festivals and longevity wishing ceremony, etc. in a solemn but simple and economical manner. The humanity charity funds, gratitude funds, funds for the poor, and so on, have received great support. The fields such as culture, fitness and sports, health and education have continued to be paid much attention. The political situation, social order and safety have been well ensured. Garbage is collected and treated in accordance with regulations to ensure the village’s environmental landscape is always green, clean, and beautiful.

Considering these achievements, An Da village was recognized by the People’s Committee of My Duc district as the cultured village for the second time in the period 2014-2016, showing the the capability and tradition of building and maintaining the title of the An Da’s authorities and people. At the ceremony, representatives of the village expressed their respect and honor to the fact that the village would be recognized the title for the second time. The villagers also show their excitement in witnessing the prosperity and development of the village. Accordingly, the movement “All people jointly build the cultural life” has actively contributed to the consolidation and enrichment of cultural traditions for An Da village, An Tien commune in particular and My Duc district in general. Therefore, every village should respect and maintain this title.

At the end of the ceremony, the representative of leadership of the commune and the village promised to follow the guidance of the representatives of the District Culture and Information Office – Standing Agency of the Executive Committee in charge of the Movement “All people joint build the cultural life of My Duc district”, and to maintain the title in the next periods.
