The exhibition introduces 36 sculptures including round statues, reliefs by 29 authors from many generations from Indochina Fine Arts, Resistance Fine Arts to present. The works are composed around the theme of praising the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressing the love of the army and people to Uncle Ho, the spring atmosphere in all parts of the country and the rhythm of life and the transformation of the country, Vietnamese people such as Đảng là người mẹ hiền (Pham Xuan Thi, 1958), Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh 1890-1969 (Vuong Hoc Bao, 1970), Xuân 1975 (Tran Tia, 1975), Nghe lời non nước (Vu Ngoc Khoi, 1978), Bác Hồ đi tìm đường cứu nước (Diep Minh Chau, 1985).

Along with that, viewers will feel the spring atmosphere and the transformation of the Vietnamese people in the work of building a life in all parts of the country through the works of the Tiếng đàn (Ta Quang Bao, 1941), Hội chèo thuyền (Ninh Thi Den, 1984), Vũ điệu mùa xuân (Tran Viet Ha, 2001), Đường cày đảm đang (Tran Thiet, 1980), Sức trẻ (Pham Ngoc Tuan, 1983), etc.

The works in the period of the 1970s are mainly in the realist direction, which is the premise for further developments. After the renovation period up to now, the trend of modern composition has embraced, the artist chooses his own artistic styles, expresses special interest in social issues directly or metaphorically such as Quà tặng của biển (Hoang Mai Thiep, 2017), Bầu sữa (Nguyen Khac Quan, 2005), Đồng đội (Vu Huu Nhung, 2003), etc.

Exhibition “Mùa xuân đất nước” is the connection of many generations of sculptors and will be a happy and peaceful New Year’s greeting to the masses. The exhibition will be open from January 28 to February 28, 2021, at the Thematic Gallery, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, located at No. 66, Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hanoi.
