To celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2022), Dong Anh District People’s Committee organized the 7th Unicorn -Lion – Dragon Dance Art Festival 2022.
There were 9 Unicorn -Lion – Dragon clubs from 9 communes in the district, including: Uy No, Xuan Non, Van Noi, Nguyen Khe, Thuy Lam, Lien Ha, Co Loa, Tam Xa, and Dong Hoi, attending the festival
The teams performed beautiful and attractive Unicorn -Lion – Dragon dances, thereby exuding their own unique culture of traditional Unicorn -Lion – Dragon dance art while still showing the unique characteristics of each team. The mascots participating ancillary such as dragons, phoenixes, turtles, etc., and props and musical instruments, were meticulously invested by these teams.
At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded a Special Prize for the performance named Song Long Ngũ Phúc by Nhat Hoang Lion Dragon Club from Uy No Commune; The first prize was given to the performance called Loa Thành Cổ kính – Linh khí Rồng Lân by Xuan Non commune; The second prize was awarded to 2 clubs from Van Noi and Nguyen Khe communes and the third prize was awarded to Thuy Lam, Lien Ha, Co Loa, Tam Xa and Dong Hoi communes.
The Unicorn -Lion – Dragon Dance Festival of Dong Anh District has been successfully organized 7 times and left a deep impression on both audiences and participants. The festival is also an opportunity for Unicorn -Lion – Dragon dance clubs in Dong Anh district to meet, exchange and contribute to the preservation and promotion of this traditional folk art.
