It is an activity organized by Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam in collaboration with the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre. It is also an event in a series of activities throughout 2018 – the European Year of Cultural Heritage of the Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam.

The art of comics is a bright spot in the Wallonie-Bruxelles Cultural Heritage. The Smurfs character are made by the famous Belgian artist, Peyo, with a comic book series called The Smurfs, which first came out in 1958 and tells fictional stories about a little, blue human-like creatures. So far, 34 comic-book parts The Smurfs have presented in 90 countries with the number of publications up to more than 35 million books. The Smurfs character has also become the favorite comic book of many generations of children in many countries around the world and also the character of children cartoon series.

On the occasion of 60th birthday of the Smurfs, the Smurfs exhibition will surely bring lots of fun to viewers who love Vietnamese comic books. This exhibition is opened on the morning of April 26, 2018 at Exhibition Building N14, at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, located in No. 9, Hoang Dieu Street, Hanoi, with the participation of the Wallonie-Bruxelles’ leading comic artists, Dany, the painter. The Smurfs exhibition opens from 8.00 a.m. to 17.00 p.m. daily and lasts from April 26, to June 4, 2018.
