The prolonged covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected the lives and jobs of union members and employees, especially at autonomous non-business units under the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, such as the relic block, scenic spots, theaters must be closed to serve the pandemic prevention and control. Many union members and employees have had to take a break from work for many months. The giving of gifts to support the “Union Welfare Bag” shows the affection and sharing of burdens with union members and employees of Hanoi’s Trade Union. The essential gifts, though not much material, contain great affection, showing the concern and sharing of the Trade Union with the employees, encouraging the employees to be determined to overcome difficulties, able to show the spirit of “Where there are union members facing difficulties, there is a trade union”.

Also at the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi My Hoa – Deputy Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports thanked the shared sentiments of the Hanoi Public Employees’ Union for union members and staff. Ministries, civil servants, public employees and employees working at units under the Department. Ms. Hoa also added that the Covid-19 pandemic has made it very difficult for units of the Department of Culture and Sports, so these supports are a very timely encouragement to create conditions for all members to have the motivation to dedicate themselves, have faith to stand firm through the pandemic.
