On the evening of May 27th, 2022, Hai Ba Trung District People’s Committee organized an art program to celebrate the 61st anniversary of Hai Ba Trung district’s founding day (1961 – 2022).
The program was held on an outdoor stage, at the main gate area of Thong Nhat Park (Tran Nhan Tong Street). It included 12 special dances and music performances which praising the glorious Party, the great President Ho Chi Minh, the love of the country, the capital, dear Hai Ba Trung district, such as: Songs of Ho Chi Minh, Country – Love, Melody of Pride, Call of Vietnam, Hai Ba Trung on the way to the future… The performances are meticulously choreographed with high artistic quality, performed by artists, children and students who are living, studying and working in the district. The art program has brought healthy and useful entertainment moments to the audience at the weekend, contributing to enrich the cultural and spiritual life of the People.

On May 31, 1961, the Government Council issued Decision No. 78 to officially establish Hai Ba Trung Quarter. On June 9, 1961, the Hanoi Party’s Committee issued Resolution No. 123-NQ/DBHN to establish the Party’s Committee of Hai Ba Trung Quarter. Currently, Hai Ba Trung district has 18 wards with a total natural area of 1025.9 ha and a population of 303,586 people.
Hai Ba Trung district is a region with a long history, rich in cultural traditions, diligent and creative people. During the war, Hai Ba Trung district, with the spirit of patriotism, resilience, indomitability, had wholeheartedly fought to protect the homeland, preserve our country and keep the border unharmed; and had enthusiastically worked to contribute to the construction of socialism. In the process of renovation, integration and development of the capital, Hai Ba Trung district, with the spirit of “solidarity, responsibility, initiative, creativity, nation, discipline, dare to think, dare to do”, had constantly grown, had many great achievements in economy, culture, politics, society, security – defense, maintaining solidarity, wholeheartedly working together to complete the set tasks. The economic structure has shifted positively towards Industrialization – Modernization with the proportion of trade – service – industry value grows higher each year, the average increase is 18.9%/year, higher than planned. Strong economic development has created a premise to promote the development of socio-cultural activities in the direction of quality, efficiency, especially in education – training, building cultural life, health care for the people in the area is enhanced. Since 2018, Hai Ba Trung district has always been at the top in terms of budget revenue among the city’s 30 districts, towns and cities.
After 61 years of construction and development, Hai Ba Trung district has affirmed its position and deserves the name of two national heroines. The district was honored to be awarded many noble titles by the Party and State such as: Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, Labor Medals 1st degree, second degree, third degree and many other noble titles…
