In 2020, due to the increasingly complicated and unstable Covid-19 pandemic, the cultural and sports events in Hoan Kiem lake walking street area were temporarily interrupted. When the pandemic was basically controlled, events of many provinces such as Son La, Hung Yen, Dac Lac, Bac Ninh, Lai Chau, Ha Giang took place at this place to increase the regional linkages in trade and tourism promotion activities between the provinces and Hanoi city; at the same time strengthening the introduction and promotion of local unique cultural heritage values ​​to Hanoians, domestic and foreign tourists.

The program “Colors of Son La – Northwest region” at the Bat Giac house introduces clean typical agricultural products of the Northwest provinces.

The Department has directed the compilation of propaganda materials to innovate and enhance propaganda efficiency in the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”; Delivering 2 propaganda news to local radio systems in 30 districts and towns titled “Hanoi actively responds to the Vietnam Consumers’ Rights Day”, “Taking an active part in propaganda of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”. In addition, the Department has carried out propaganda using panels and vertical banners and strengthened the propaganda of the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”. The propaganda is divided into 2 phases (phase 1 from April 6 to April 12, 2020; phase 2 from October 28 to November 18, 2020). To be specific, installing 08 fixed panel assemblies in the inner city and the gateway to the capital such as: Tran Nhan Tong street, Giang Vo – Cat Linh crossroads; Ngoc Hoi; Phu Xuyen; Duong Xa – Gia Lam; Xuan Mai – Chuong My (02 panel assemblies in Duong Xa – Gia Lam; Xuan Mai – Chuong My in 2 phases). Decorating 20 two-sided panel assemblies at the median strip of roads in the center area of the city. Installing 3,400 vertical banners (using the city budget and socialization budget) on the main roads, main streets, and central areas of the city.

In addition, the Department of Culture and Sports always strictly complies with the direction of the City Fatherland Front Committee in implementing and propagating for cadres, civil servants and employees at the Department’s units to raise awareness of prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods.

In order to continue the propaganda of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, in 2021, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will strengthen the integration and combination of propaganda of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” in activities of building the grassroots cultural life by carrying out mobile propaganda, holding culture – arts and sports programs, hanging posters and slogans on large panels, small panels, and vertical banners in some streets of the City, continuing to compile and issue newsletter and flyers to propagate the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”.
