In order to seriously implement the regulations on the civilized lifestyle during the festival period, the Bureau of Local Culture requested the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to direct and guide the Huong Pagoda Festival Organization Board to implement the followings:
Inspecting and reviewing the organization of the Huong Pagoda Festival 2018, paying special attention to the plan for ensuring the safety of people when participating in festival activities on rivers, providing life jackets and asking visitors to wear life jackets while on boats; ensuring the correct number of people carrying on boats as prescribed; strictly abiding by the provisions of the Inland Waterway Navigation Law.
Strengthening propaganda activities such as the system of boards, signboards, using loudspeaker system, printing brochures on the history of the relic, significance of the festival, issuing regulations on relic protection and implementing the civilized lifestyle in the festival period to contribute actively to preserving and promoting the cultural values of the festival, enhancing the sense of performing the civilized lifestyle for visitors and festival participants; prohibiting changing money to get interest, giving the so-high price for car-keeping, gambling, superstition and fortune telling … at the festival.
Commodity trading and services must commit to ensure food hygiene and safety, environmental sanitation, price stability for tourists and local people, and not to sell meat of wild animals. Service business households must arrange signboards and register their telephone numbers so that the Organization Board can promptly receive and handle visitors’ feedback via the hotline.
The Bureau of Local Culture requested the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to direct and guide the Organization Board of the Huong Pagoda Festival to seriously carry out and report to the Bureau of Local Culture before April 15, 2018 in order to report to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
