On November 16, the Hanoi Youth Union launched the contest “In Search of Ambassadors Advocating the History and Culture of Thang Long – Hanoi.”

This contest aims to disseminate widely within the levels of the Youth Union, its members, and young people about the traditional history of Thang Long – Hanoi; the history of its establishment, the significance, and cultural value of revolutionary historical relics in the city. The objective is to inspire patriotism and a self-reliant spirit among union members and youth, fostering a desire to build a capital that is noble, civilized, modern, and a nation that is prosperous and happy. Through the contest, the Organizing Committee will select an “Ambassador” to advocate for the historical revolutionary relics in the digitalization project of the “Red Address” within the city of Hanoi.

This activity underscores the proactive role of young people in realizing the specific actions of Hanoi’s youth participating in Directive No. 06-CTr/TU of the Municipal Party Committee on “Cultural Development; Improving the Quality of Human Resources; Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians in the 2021-2025 period”; Resolution No. 15 -NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks for the development of Hanoi Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045; and the campaign “Building Exemplary Values for the Youth of the Capital in the New Era.”

The participants are members and youth actively involved in the Youth Union’s affiliated units in Hanoi.

Entries, presented as video clips with a duration of 7-10 minutes (including both Vietnamese and English narration), focus on promoting and introducing 1 to 3 revolutionary historical relics in Hanoi. They should highlight the historical value of the subject being introduced, featuring meaningful stories associated with specific locations.

In the contest video clips, the appearance of the participants must ensure that they are the central figures, elucidating the roles and responsibilities of young people in preserving, promoting, and transmitting the noble cultural values of the nation. They should convey positive messages to arouse a sense of patriotism, national pride, and pride in the thousand-year history of the Capital.

Tác Youth Union introduces Historical and Cultural Relics of Thang Long – Hanoi

Entries should be submitted in mp4 format, in HD resolution, with the file clearly stating the author’s name and the unit’s name. The Organizing Committee encourages the use of modern technologies, visual effects, transitions, etc. Submissions will be accepted until November 28, 2023, via the official email of the contest: Hanoidaisutuyentruyen@gmail.com. The contest results are expected to be announced on December 8, 2023.

The first prize winner will be chosen as the “Ambassador” advocating for the revolutionary historical relics in the data encryption project of the “Red Addresses” in Hanoi. The winner will receive a cash prize and a Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union. Additionally, there will be one second prize, three third prizes, and six prospective prizes for outstanding participants.
