The football tournament serves as a platform fostering camaraderie, knowledge exchange, and solidarity among businesses, entities, as well as officials, workers, and employees. Simultaneously, it plays a role in promoting the physical fitness and health of individuals within organizations and units.
On the afternoon of September 8, 2023, at the Stadium of the Thanh Tri District Center for Culture, Information, and Sports, the Center for Culture, Information, and Sports collaborated with the Thanh Tri District Business Association to inaugurate the 1st Thanh Tri District Business Association Football Tournament 2023. This meaningful event coincides with the celebration of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day on October 13, 2023.

The football tournament takes place from September 8 to September 17, featuring the competition of 11 teams from various companies and enterprises affiliated with the district’s Business Association, along with units including the District People’s Committee, District Public Security, Agriculture General Hospital, and Military Bank – Thanh Tri Branch. The teams are divided into three groups, competing in a round-robin format within each group to accumulate points and determine rankings. The match duration comprises two halves, each lasting 25 minutes. The top 3 teams from each group proceed to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final. Knockout stage matches are decided directly. In the event of a draw at the official match time, a penalty shootout (6 meters) will determine the winner.

Immediately following the opening ceremony was a match between the District Public Security team and the Omizu International XNK Joint Stock Company team. The match was dynamic, featuring athletes delivering numerous impressive plays.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will award 01 Championship trophy, 01 Runner-up trophy, 01 Third Place trophy, the Fair Play trophy for the team with the best playing style, and additional accolades such as the Top Scorer, Outstanding Player, and Excellent Goalkeeper awards.
The tournament creates opportunities for teams to connect, learn, and strengthen solidarity and friendship among businesses, units, officials, workers, and employees. Additionally, it contributes to the promotion of physical exercise and sports, enhancing health across organizations, units, and various community segments.
