The Project “Cultural Space of the Imperial Academy” aims to promote cultural activities at the cultural space of the Imperial Academy, as well as provide the public with information on the history of Vietnam in the middle age to impart the historical and cultural values of our nation through thousands of years. In addition to general cultural activities, the Project also focuses on implementing cultural and artistic activities that are familiar to young people at home and abroad, talk shows about the value and vitality of ancient education in the context of modern society, etc.
People often think that in the ancient Imperial Academy (within Temple of Literature nowadays), students were taught Han script. In fact, the Imperial Academy , students were taught to be good, then talented people, to contribute to governing the State and helping humanity. Although the Imperial Academy no longer operates, it demonstrates the long history of education and good qualities of people, and it seems to be always alive for ages, as the ancestors’ admonition on the essentials of culture.
Therefore, the project “Cultural Space of the Imperial Academy” affirms the enduring power of “Kindness, Decorum, Uprightness, Music” in life. This project aims to partly recreate the atmosphere of the brilliant cultural history, and hand down the cultural values of the country to the next generation. Cultural activities will be carried out by the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of Temple of Literature, in the collaboration with Gavisto Diplomat Non-profit Cultural and Educational Project and other units, to impart the historical and cultural values of the nation through thousands of years that have been kept and preserved in the Special National Monument of Temple of Literature.
