Long Bien organized propaganda to celebrate Vietnamese Family Day

Representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports, the Hanoi Women’s Development Support Center, leaders of the People’s Committee of Long Bien District, the Fatherland Front, the District Women’s Union, the District Committee for Mass Mobilization and representatives of specialized departments of the district, representatives of leaders of wards, women’s unions of residential groups, staffs of Culture and Information of wards, members of Long Bien District Women’s Entrepreneurs Club, etc., and 20 families and 14 orphans in difficult circumstances in the district attended the  conference.

The annual Vietnamese Family Day June 28 has become a traditional day with very important meaning for each person, a day to light up the family-oriented spirit, thereby nurturing good feelings, noble human values, as well as awakening each person to think more deeply and take more practical actions to build a happy and sustainable family.

Vietnam Family Day 2022 with the theme “Peaceful family – Happy society” launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and “Family day – loving connection” launched by the Central Union Vietnamese women launched. These meaningful activities spreads and honors the good values of Vietnamese families. Simultaneously, promoting forms of propaganda on domestic violence prevention and control, mobilizing union members and people to practice civilized lifestyles, cultural behaviors in their families, communities in order to build happy, progress, happiness and sustainably- developing families.

Attending the conference, the delegates were provided, by MSc. Nguyen Thi Hao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Women’s Union, Director of the Hanoi Women’s Development Support Center, many important and fundamental contents of the Law on Marriage and Family, Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, the provisions of the Criteria for building a happy family, the role of the family in today’s society, and the cases and situations that occurs in practice for the participants to discuss. Through the conference, the participants learned the basic contents on which to comply with the law, contributing to the achievement of the goal of building a prosperous, progressive and happy civilized families.

At the conference, Vice Chairman of Long Bien District People’s Committee Dinh Thi Thu Huong and Head of Long Bien District’s Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Quoc Long presented 20 gifts to typical families in difficult circumstances to support, encourage and help them overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

Responding to the “Godmother” program, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Women’s Union of Long Bien District, Chairman of the Women’s Union Dao Thu Hai received funding to sponsor 14 children with a total amount of 84 million VND (detailed the amount of 500,000 VND/ month (6 million/year) for each child). Of which, the Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien district sponsored 10 children and 4 children sponsored by 4 units, including Phuc Hung Equipment and Technology Joint Stock Company, Bac Viet Food Joint Stock Company, La Vong Restaurant and Sam Lan Co., Ltd, The Military Women’s Union of Long Bien District (one child for each unit). Besides, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Long Bien District Vu Thi Thanh and Chairman of the district Women’s Union Dao Thu Hai gave gifts to children in special circumstances. These activities was to respond to the month of action for children in 2022 of Long Bien district in order to promote the role of all levels, sectors, and mass organizations in the protection, care and education of children, and promote the human spirit and benevolent heart of Vietnamese women.
