Phu Xuyen is a district far from the center of the capital, people depend on agriculture, but the district is known as one of the bright spots of the capital in the movement to build cultural life at grassroots with over 80% number of villages with the title of Cultural Village. However, besides the achieved results, the family building in the area still has some shortcomings and limitations such as domestic violence occurs in some places; the coordination between family, school and society in value orientation, moral education and lifestyle for young people is still limited. The comment and recognition of cultural families in many places have been still formalistic. To promote the achieved results and overcome the outstanding problems, Phu Xuyen district continues to strengthen family building in the new situation, build prosperous, happy, civilized and progressive families according to the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, Party committees and authorities in the district continue to strengthen leadership and direct the implementation of family affairs.
Identifying family as one of the important factors determining the sustainable development of the locality and the country, Phu Xuyen continues to build and replicate typical cultural family models, traditions, exemplary grandparents & parents, filial descendants, harmonious husband and wife, united brothers and sisters, love each other; uphold the role of the family in nurturing, orienting values and educating the young generation; resolutely fight against pragmatic lifestyles, social evils, domestic violence, and abolish outdated customs and practices in marriage and family; overcome the disease of achievements and forms in the work of building a cultural family. At the same time, promote and renew the work of popularizing, propagating and educating policies and laws on marriage and family; skills to build civilized and happy families, contributing to improving the quality of people’s lives in the area.
