In 2021, Thi Cam rice cooking contest is included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the ceremony, Nam Tu Liem district has inaugurated the restoration and embellishment of Thi Cam communal house.

In the speech at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Long – Vice Chairman of Nam Tu Liem District People’s Committee affirmed that the Thi Cam Rice Cooking Contest of Xuan Phuong Ward was decided to include in the National intangible culture Heritage List by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was the pride and responsibility of each local people in preserving, and promoting its cultural heritage values. Vice Chairman of District People’s Committee Nam Tu Liem requested that functional agencies of districts and wards continued to enhance propaganda work to raise awareness of local officials, party members and people on management, protection, and promotion the values ​​of the relics and Thi Cam rice cooking contest, so that the cultural values ​​​​of the contest became an important motivation and resource for socio-economic development, and the culture could truly become a endogenous strength for construction and development of Nam Tu Liem district. He also requested to carry out detailed inventory of relics, artifacts and worship items at each relics to strictly manage and ensure good security and order, fire and explosion prevention, termite prevention, and environmental sanitation at the relic sites. The Ward People’s Committee, the Sub-Committee on Management of Relics and local people closely coordinated with functional departments to continue collecting, documenting and organizing a solemn and safe annual traditional contest to keep the contest original.
