According to the People’s Committee of Sai Son commune, at present, the disease situation in the country as well as in the world is very complicated; in order to ensure a good implementation of the Covid-19 prevention and control in the commune, and at the same time implement the direction of the District Party Committee and Quoc Oai District People’s Committee on suspension to organize the Thay Pagoda Festival 2020, the People’s Committee of Sai Son commune has strictly implemented the guidance of the People’s Committee of Quoc Oai district about the closure of Thay Pagoda, the special national monument area and did not organize to welcome visitors to the Thay Pagoda Festival in 2020 (from March 5 to March 7 according lunar calendar).

This year’s Thay Pagoda Festival will not hold the festival part. The ceremony is held according to local customs compactly without Communion. The People’s Committee of Sai Son Commune recommends that tourists and local people, when there is no need, should not go to the special national monument Thay Pagoda.
The People’s Committee of Sai Son commune also suggested restaurants and souvenir shops around Thay Pagoda area to limit crowds or stop business to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
