The week of “Great National Unity – Vietnam Cultural Heritage” is practical activities to celebrate the Day of Tradition – Date of the establishment of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18) and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

The 2022 “Great National Unity – Vietnam Cultural Heritage” week will be attended by about 200 ethnic groups, of which more than 100 ethnic groups are representatives of families, prestigious people, religious dignitaries, intellectuals, children of 15 ethnic groups who are active daily in the Village and 90 ethnic groups are the communities participating in events of Cham Islam ethnic group (An Giang province); E De ethnic group (Dak Lak province); Gia Rai ethnic group (Gia Lai province)… There will be many unique events, re-enactments, introducing activities of ethnic minorities in the “Common house” of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnics, attracting domestic and international visitors.

From November 18, many cultural programs of ethnic groups, folk performances, folk dances, sports and some other activities are held in the spaces of ethnic villages I, II, III. The highlight is the opening artistic program of the “Great National Unity – Vietnam Cultural Heritage” Week 2022 and the “1st Festival of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities in the North, 2022”, which took place at 20: 00 on November 18 at the Floating Stage, the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

In 2 weekend days November 19-20, there will be programs of exchange between ethnic groups such as: Cultural exchange festival of the Southwest ethnic groups, Cultural exchange festival of Tay Nguyen ethnic groups, Cultural exchange festival of the Northwest ethnic groups. On this occasion, some festivals and customs of the peoples of the whole country will be introduced, such as: the twinning ceremony between mother and offspring of E De ethnic group in Dak Lak province (morning of November 19), the naming ceremony of the Cham people in An Giang province (afternoon of November 19), Phu Yen Fishing praying festival (morning of November 20), the ceremony of celebrating the new rice of Gia Rai people (afternoon of November 20)…

Coming to the Culture Village – Tourism of Vietnamese ethnic groups on this occasion, visitors will be able to enjoy and discover the special cultural features of ethnic groups in the Vietnamese “Common House”.

Within the framework of the Solidarity Week, there is also a conference to meet artisans and people who have contributed much to the preservation and promotion of the culture of ethnic minorities in the Northern region; Workshop “Solutions to preserve and promote traditional costumes of ethnic Vietnamese peoples in the current period”; Showcasing and introducing typical cultural products and perform embroidery, handmade traditional costumes of ethnic minorities in Vietnam in the Northern region; National Championship of Ethnic wrestling talents in 2022; Recreating the market space in the northern mountains;…

The 2022 “Great National Unity – Vietnam Cultural Heritage” Week was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Thereby, it is necessary to strengthen the great national unity under the leadership of the Party in the rapid and sustainable development of the country. Honoring, preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of 54 Vietnamese ethnic communities, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture with a strong national identity.
