The delegates attending the Conference were Mr. Pham Thi Nguyen Hanh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agencies Block in Hanoi, Mr. Luong Thi Thu Hien – Deputy Head of the Bloc Propaganda and Education Department of the Party Committee.
Mr. Tran Thi Van Anh – Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Party Inspection Committee, Deputy Director of the Department together with 447 members of 32 branches under the Party Committee of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports participated.
Overview of the Conference.
The conference listened to a summary report on the work of the Party in 2020 and implementation of the mission in 2021. With the spirit of initiative and high determination, the Party Committee of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has focused on leading and directing to organize a drastic, creative and flexible organization in the Party building work and perform political and professional tasks of the Industry in 2020 and achieved outstanding results.
In leading the implementation of political tasks in 2020, the Party Committee of the Department of Culture and Sports has cooperated closely with the Board of Directors of the Department to lead and direct all levels of Party committees, units and mass organizations under the Department to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the guidelines and directions of the Central, City Party Committee and City People’s Committee; at the same time, it actively developed organizational plans in the fields of culture, sports and family in accordance with the actual situation of the city to implement specific, focused and key assignments of tasks of the City People’s Committee.
By 2020, the capital’s cultural, sport and family work has achieved many positive results. State management has been strengthened; the fields of management of the Industry in Hanoi city basically do not have hot issues, causing pressing for public opinion. The inspection and control work has been strengthened, contributing to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of State management in the fields of culture, sports and family in the city. The tasks assigned by the City Party Committee and the City People’s Committee were strictly implemented, ensuring progress and quality. Activities and events to celebrate major holidays of the country and the capital are well organized; theaters in the city organized nearly 600 art shows, with revenue of more than VND11 billion; 24 medals were awarded for participants in professional art festivals and contests nationwide in 2020.
The physical training and sport movement for everyone is interested and developed. Hanoi Sports won 2,153 medals of all kinds, including 2,134 domestic medals and 19 international medals. Hanoi hosted and successfully and safely organized 11 national sports tournaments. The preparation for the organization of the 31st SEA Games and the ASEAN Para Games 11 in 2021 in Vietnam has been well implemented by the Department in coordination with the Departments and branches of the City and the General Department of Gymnastics and Sports.
Ms. Pham Thi Nguyen Hanh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agencies Bloc in Hanoi awarded certificates of merit to the Party Committee of the Department of Culture and Sports.
Party building work is interested and implemented comprehensively in aspects of political and ideological education, consolidating Party’s grassroots organizations and developing Party members; inspection, supervision and leadership of mass organizations, in particular, the propaganda and implementation of the prevention and control of Covid-19 have been focused and directed to implement in accordance with the set progress and plan.
In addition to the achieved results, the Party Committee of the Department of Culture and Sports still has certain limitations; for example, complaints and petitions exist in long term, the specialized work of the Sector has limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome; some branches have not organized many specialized sessions, the spirit of criticism and self-criticism in the sessions is still limited…
The conference also approved the key directions, tasks and main solutions of 2021 with 14 tasks in directing the implementation of professional activities and many tasks and solutions set out in the ideology, politics and Party building.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Pham Thi Nguyen Hanh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Agencies Bloc in Hanoi emphasized the key tasks that the Party Committee of the Department needs to perform in 2021: Hanoi city defines 2021 as the year of “Discipline, responsibility, action, creation and development”. On that basis, the Party Committee of the Department of Culture and Sports should focus on implementing key and breakthrough tasks and solutions to create fundamental changes in three areas of the industry: Culture, Sports and Family.
Also at the conference, Ms. Pham Thi Nguyen Hanh awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Party Committee of the Agencies Bloc in Hanoi to the Party Committee of the Department of Culture and Sports with the achievement of successfully completing the inspection and supervision task 2020 and reward Party grassroots organizations with “Excellent completion of task” in 2020.
Tran Thi Van Anh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Culture and Sports fully grasped the Resolution of the XVII Hanoi City Party Congress.
In part 2 of the Conference, all members of the Party Committee of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports listened to the dissemination of Mr. Tran Thi Van Anh – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee about the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi City Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
