The Directive No. 05 of the Politburo on “Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle” has been implemented by the Party Committee of Son Tay town, the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee in an active and creative manner through practical and robust activities. The Town Party Committee issued 54 guiding documents and organized learning topics for more than 1,500 key officials. The Party Committee of Son Tay town organized 5 study sessions with 188 classes; the rate of officials, party members, civil servants and public employees participating in the classes always reaches over 95%; the rate of union members reaches 90%. 100% of the subordinate committees issued ethical standards and facilitated officials and party members to register for cultivation, practice, study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle associated with the implementation of Central Resolution 4 at 12th session, demonstrating through 3 to 5 specific practical works with the determined time of completion for the party cell to validate, assess, and supervise the implementation results; thereby, making a robust change in morality, responsibility, working style, and sense of respect for people of leaders, officials and party members.
For the younger generation, the Standing Committee of Town Party Committee directs 100% of schools to build a curriculum that integrates the content of studying and following Uncle Ho in the lessons; teach such content 1 teaching period/month on the first Monday of the month; organize extracurricular educational activities, life skills education, art performance, talks, seminars, contests, and so on, to educate ethics and lifestyles for students and raise awareness of teachers on studying and following Uncle Ho.
Mr. Le Hong Son, the Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hanoi City, is awarding prizes to teams with high achievements in the contest on studying 50 years of realizing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament.
Along with that, the Town Party Committee has directed the implementation of Directive 05 in combination with the patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, contest on writing on examples “Good people, good deeds”. In 3 years, Son Tay town awarded 176 titles of “Good people, good deeds” and commended 49 typical individuals. In 2019, Son Tay town held a preliminary review of the 3-year implementation of Directive 05 and summary of the peak emulation period commemorating the 50th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s testament in association with the 65th anniversary of Son Tay Liberation Day (August 3, 1954 – August 3, 2019). 23,765 works were submitted to the contest on “Studying 50 years of realizing President Ho Chi Minh’s testament. As a result, 10 teams and 25 individuals with outstanding and excellent works were awarded prizes, and 18 teams and 21 individuals with good achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle were commended. During the past 3 years, the Town Party Committee also established 12 thematic inspection teams to inspect the compliance with Directive 05 in 45 units in the area.
In promoting the revolutionary tradition, in recent years, the Party Committee, authorities and people of the town have achieved many significant results in the fields such as economy, culture, society, security and national defense, construction of Party, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations. As a result, the economy has gradually developed; the structure has shifted in a positive direction; urban infrastructure and traffic have been renovated; urban appearance has been step by step renewed in the direction of civilization and modernization; social culture continues to change well, and people’s lives have been gradually improved and enhanced.
Son Tay town’s Party Committee and people have been awarded many noble titles by the Party and State such as Third-class Independence Medal, First-, Second-, and Third-class Labor Medal, Emulation Flag, and Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister. Besides, many organizations and individuals were awarded the Labor Hero title and many medals and certificates of merit. In January 2020, Son Tay town has been awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal for the second time.
