Summer classes at Son Tay Town Children’s House
Every summer, Son Tay Children’s House is a familiar address for most children in the town. They go there to have fun, study and practice gifted subjects. With the summer theme of 2022 as “Beneficial Play – Comprehensive Development”, Son Tay Town Children’s House organized 16 gifted classes and attracted over 350 children to participate in activities. Subjects such as painting, dancing, playing the organ, playing the guitar, practicing beautiful handwriting, martial arts, chess, and chinese chess. The life skills training class also attracted a large number of children.

Son Tay Library is also an attractive destination for children to read books in the summer. The library has arranged a bright and airy reading room, equipped with modern facilities for children. Children’s reading room is arranged with 4 standard bookshelves. There are signs on each bookshelf; The books are arranged in alphabetical order, by volume from small to large, from left to right, from top to bottom… to help children easily look up and read books in the reading room. The bookstore has thousands of children’s books with a variety of topics and genres such as poetry, short stories, comics, fairy tales, myths, stories about historical figures, stories of talented scientists in Vietnam and the world, books of prestigious publishers…
Especially in order to limit accidents and injuries in summer days, Son Tay town has actively called and organized training courses on safe swimming skills and drowning prevention for children. The popular wimming skills to pre2vent drowning accidents for children is effectively implemented by the Center for Culture, Information and Sports through swimming classes. The children were taught basic skills from warm-up to practicing water skills such as how to breathe, how to pedal, how to swim with your hands. The children also learned basic swimming styles such as crawling, backstroke, breaststroke. Swimming classes also equip children with basic knowledge about drowning prevention and how to handle cramps when in the water. This not only helps children effectively prevent drowning accidents but also enhances their physical health./.
