Olympic Day For People’s Health 2018, organized in Hanoi, made a record of the participants.
For a memorizing 73th anniversary of the Sports and the date when Uncle Ho wrote “Doing Exercises and Health” topic calling people doing exercise (27/03/1946 – 27/03/2019); Encouraging people of all levels to do exercise for the “National people improve physical strength following Uncle Ho’s example” and the “Be healthy to building career and protect the country” movements which focused on the youth to improve health to serve the purposes of studying, working, manufacturing, building and protecting the country; propagandizing and enlightening the roles, effects of doing exercise, playing sports, building a healthy lifestyle and cultural environment partly improve the national unification. The Ministry of Culture – Sports – Tourism recently has issued a plan for Olympic Day For People’s Health 2019. Accordingly, the Ministry requested: Central provinces and cities built a plan, instruction for organizing the Olympic Day For People’s Health in the local, propagandized and encouraged people of all levels to participate in the Olympic Day For People’s Health and build a habit of doing exercise; The organization of the Olympic Day at local shall guarantee safety, cost-saving, have an encouraging and exciting atmosphere for the participants; Calling social sources for organization of the event.
The Olympic Day For People’s Health 2019 is expected to be populated in 85% of total number of local wards and towns throughout the country. And depends on actual situation of specific locality, for the development of innovation in organization, combination to other sport activities for big celebrations of March 2019. The Olympic Day will be organized simultaneously at 7:00 (Sunday) March 24th 2019. However, based on specific conditions of the locality, the local authority can hold the event on other date in March 2019.
For The Olympic Day For People’s Health 2018, the Hanoi Department of Culture & Sport and Hanoimoi Newspapers, the People’s Committee of Nam Tu Liem District also organized Commencement for 45th Hanoimoi Newspapers Running Contest – For Peace 2018.
The event took place on 25/03, at the My Dinh National Stadium palace, drawing almost 8,000 participants, including officials, workers, public servants, soldiers and students in Nam Tu Liem District, athletes, actors/actresses of the Hanoi Department of Culture & Sports, companies and peoples of all levels participating in the events which partly contributed to create a record of the participants.
Since 2017, instead of organizing the event in June with a specific opening ceremony as usual, the Hanoi Department of Culture – Sport proposed to hold the Hanoimoi Newspaper Running Contest – For Peace event with the Opening Ceremony of “Olympic Day For People’s Health” of the People’s Committee of Hanoi under the assistance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism at the end of March in Hanoi.
