This is a Traditional Wrestling Tournament held annually by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports and districts. Canh Ty Spring festival, the tournament will be held in Thach That district from 10-14 February 2020.

In this year’s tournament, each unit may register 2 athletes to compete per one weight class and there must be 3 athletes of 2 or more units, the competition will be held. In addition to gold, silver and bronze medals for successful athletes, the Organizing Committee will award the First, Second, Third Class flags to the units that achieve achievements according to the medal table. It is known that there are more than 100 athletes from 12 units registered to participate in 4 contents: National men’s movement wrestling; national men’s enhanced wrestling; women’s movement freestyle wrestling; women’s enhanced freestyle wrestling.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year the professionalism in the competition is also focused more, with movement and enhanced content. Subjects of the movement competition are athletes who do not train regularly in the Hanoi wrestling team, have not yet won the title of first-class athletes and grandmasters in wrestling nationwide. Advanced subjects are athletes who have won SEA Games medals in different weight classes.

 The Tournament is maintained every year to preserve and develop the traditional wrestling sport.

In 2019, to welcome the Ky Hoi Spring festival, the Traditional Wrestling Tournament was held at the Long Xuyen commune, Phuc Tho district (Hanoi) with the participation of more than 100 athletes from 10 localities with the national wrestling movement of the Hanoi.

Through the organization of the tournament to evaluate and select excellent athletes added to the city’s wrestling team, training and competing in national and international tournaments.

The Tournament is maintained every year to preserve and develop traditional sports and promote national cultural identity. At the same time, promoting the physical training campaign following the example of the great Uncle Ho; improve the quality of grassroots sports movements; cheer and encourage people in the early spring days.
