The training and scientific symposium program is expected to take place both online and offline from November 17 to 19, 2021 in Hai Phong city. The program is conducted to assess the current situation of state management of cultural heritage in recent years and propose solutions; finding out the problems related to protection and promotion..

The training and scientific symposium program is expected to take place both online and offline from November 17 to 19, 2021 in Hai Phong city. The program is conducted to assess the current situation of state management of cultural heritage in recent years and propose solutions; finding out the problems related to protection and promotion of cultural heritage values in the current context towards the goal of sustainable development; Sharing experiences in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage values of provinces/cities, orientations and solutions to protect and promote cultural heritage values in the post-Covid-19 context.

Participants of the Training and scientific symposium program include Representatives of leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and units under the Ministry; Representatives of Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism/Department of Culture and Sports/Department of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism of 63 provinces/cities; Directors of museums in Vietnamese museum system; Head of the Board/Director of the Division/Centre for Management of World Lerics and Heritages; Leaders of  Departments: Cultural Heritage, (or Cultural Management/Cultural Operations under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism or the Department of Culture and Sports); Representative of Hanoi University of Culture, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture; Relics Conservation Institute,…

On November 17, in the Cultural Heritage Sector Training Program 2021, delegates will listen to reports and discuss issues: Vision and orientation to protect and promote the value of world heritages and relics in Vietnam for the sake of sustainable development; Intangible cultural heritage and sustainable development; Experience in applying technology in introducing fine art works at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum; Experience in completing documents to submit to UNESCO for registration of regional and world documentary heritage of Vietnam; Report on evaluation of updating the database on Vietnamese cultural heritage on information management systems from 2005 to 2020; Discussions about the contents expected to be included in the Plan for the preparation of the amended Law on Cultural Heritage (Museums, relics, intangible cultural heritage, documentary heritage).

 

On November 18, a scientific symposium named “Protection and promotion of the value of Vietnam’s cultural heritage for sustainable development” will be opened. The symposium will focus on such issues as Digital transformation and display, communication and education on cultural heritage at the museum; Experience in completing documents to submit to UNESCO for registration of a regional and world documentary heritage of Vietnam (7 units with heritage sites); New requirements in the management and protection of historical-cultural relics and scenic spots; Some issues in protecting and promoting the value of the world documentary heritage steles of Doctors in Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam; Protection and promotion of the value of the world documentary heritage Woodblocks of the Nguyen Dynasty in the context of Industrial Revolution 4.0; Preservation of family heritage – Some problems and solutions; Management, protection and promotion of the value of relics; Protection and promotion of the value of intangible cultural heritage in equality, etc.

 

On November 19, the delegates will take a visit to historical and cultural sites in Hai Phong city (Bach Dang victory historical site, Cao Quy pile yard).

 

The time and location of the Training and scientific symposium program may be changed to respond to the requirements of Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.
