In celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), on the afternoon of November 14, the Center of Cultural and Scientific Activities at the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam inaugurated the Thang Long – Hanoi Calligraphy Exhibition under the theme “Elegant Calligraphic Strokes.” The exhibition introduces the public to 60 calligraphy works arranged based on the innovative application of light technology.

Representatives cut the opening ribbon and presented flowers to the exhibiting artists.

This edition of the Thang Long – Hanoi Calligraphy Exhibition, titled “Elegant Calligraphic Strokes,” encapsulates profound messages through the literary strokes of both past and contemporary literary talents. These messages unfold and manifest through the writings and drawings of modern calligraphers and artists. The exhibition features a curated selection of 60 pieces from 16 artists, aligning seamlessly with the theme “Elegant Calligraphic Strokes” in both content and form, ensuring adherence to the artistic essence the exhibition aspires to achieve. The diversity in presentation styles, artistic richness, and finesse in penmanship displayed on paper underscore the variety among the contributing artists.

The distinctiveness of this exhibition lies in the application of light technology.

Sharing insights about the exhibition, Mr. Le Xuan Kieu, the Director of the Center of Cultural and Scientific Activities at the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam, stated: “The Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam is infused with the spirit of Vietnam’s scholarly traditions, emphasizing filial piety, reverence for teachers, and the cultivation of human talents. The content of the exhibited works somehow reflects these noble traditions. The pieces are arranged with a continuous concept based on the application of light technology. Through this, we hope to offer the public a fresh and modern perspective on the calligraphic art of our forefathers.”
