The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front commits to strictly comply with the State’s regulations, openly, transparently and effectively use all donations and financial and material support of the community and society. At the Hanoi connection point, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city received donations of more than VND 118 billion from 25 people to support the city’s pandemic prevention and control and vaccination program, at the same time, launched the program “Network and computers for children”. Responding to the call of the City’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, right at the launching ceremony, units donated VND 460 million and 3,000 online learning devices to support disadvantaged students in the area.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the City’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong shared that the COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected all aspects of life including the education industry. More than 2 million students in the capital had to switch to a new learning method, the difficulties posed to teachers and students were significant, of which more than 10,000 students were in difficult circumstances and lacked learning equipment. With the desire to support equipment so that all students in the capital can study online when the pandemic is still complicated and create the most equitable opportunities for them to access the new learning method, under the direction of the City Party Committee and the City’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired and coordinated with other sectors to deploy and launch the city-wide program “Network and computers for children”. The support period is from September 15, 2021 to November 15, 2021.

The program not only helps disadvantaged students to continue their studies but also provides the approach to new learning methods, contributing to the transformation and building of a digital society, at the same time, continuing to affirm the interest of the Party, Government and people of the Capital for the future generation of the capital. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city calls on agencies, units, businesses and the people of the capital to overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic to continue to take care of the cause of education, specifically to support online learning equipment for disadvantaged children in the area, creating conditions for them to “Suspending to go to school but not stopping studying”.
