To show the concern of the Party Committees, authorities at all sectors and whole society to children, Chuong My District People’s Committee launched “Action Month for Children in 2022” with the theme “Together to protect children, speak up to prevent abuse and violence against children”.
Over the years, Chuong My District has always paid special attention to children, especially those in difficult family situations, with practical actions such as: Launching “Action Month for Children”, visiting, giving gifts and encouraging children on holidays, festivals and anniversaries, promptly supporting children to enjoy preferential policies and subsidies in accordance with regulations; providing free health insurance cards for children under 6 years old, 100% of children receiving social protection allowance.

Responding to “Action Month for Children 2022”, Chuong My District People’s Committee proposed the People’s Committees of communes and towns to hold the launching ceremony of “Action month for children in 2022”, organize entertainment activities. Implement well the prevention of violence, abuse and prevention of accidents and injuries for children, and prevention of drowning for children, especially in the summer. Foster and guide knowledge, skills and experience in child protection, care and education for the community and family. Take care for the comprehensive development of children in terms of health, intelligence, morality, culture, and spirit. To prevent and strictly manage acts of violence or abuse against children, prevention and control of accidents, injuries, and traffic accidents for children. Promote cooperation activities between schools, families, and society in educating children; focus on fostering love for family, love for the native country and traditional cultural and moral values of the locality and nation for children; strengthen education in life skills so that children know how to protect themselves from the risks of violence and abuse.
On International Children’s Day 1/6 this year, the People’s Committee of Chuong My District organized a visit and gave gifts to 128 children with difficult familly situations in thirty-two communes and towns, each of which includes: gifts and 500,000 VND in cash. The small gift contributes to motivating and encouraging the family and the children to overcome difficulties and rise in life as well as in study.

To encourage students with high achievements in study and training, the District People’s Committee decided to reward 318 students in the school year 2021 – 2022. The achievements of talented students in learning, moral training, culture, sports… are a good start to help them continue to develop themselves in the future as well as build the country and worthy of being citizens of Chuong My homeland, a land rich in the tradition of studiousness.
