Therefore, in response to the call of the General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong, from the Board of Directors to the officials, coaches and athletes participated in donating blood to save lives. The athletes are trained in a separate isolation environment; the athletes are in good health. On the 20th anniversary of “Voluntary Blood Donation”, “For noble cause, for a healthy and humane society”, after 3 days of launching, the Center has attracted about 70% athletes and coaches to attend for the first time. Through this activity, we expect everyone to actively practice to bring health, help work, study, work, contribute to the construction and defense of the country. Sharing this meaningful job, Ms. Vuong Thi Huyen – a Hanoi athlete who is training at the national weightlifting team said: “The Covid -19 epidemic is complicated, many patients need blood, I registered blood donation with the desire to contribute a little effort to help patients recover soon. I also wanted to donate blood many times, but I did not have the conditions and time to participate, I immediately registered when the Hanoi National Sports Training Center had launched the movement.

Due to the complicated developments of Covid 19 across the country, strictly implementing Directive 16 of the Prime Minister, Hanoi National Sports Training Center organized the blood donation to take place quickly, to comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Health. During the registration process, in order to avoid a large concentration of the force of athletes, coaches and staff, the Center has organized a selection of 2-3 people for each national team to participate in the blood donation program. Each team will be called alternately (each team ends, the next team will be called). During the process of moving and taking blood, athletes, coaches, staff meet the requirements to distance contact within 2 meters, wear a mask and wash hands with antiseptic, measure body temperature, etc. All these stages are controlled and implemented closely by the team of physicians and doctors at the Hanoi National Sports Training Center and staff of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
According to the director of Hanoi National Sports Training Center, since Covid – 19, the Center has thoroughly implemented the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi city, the General Department of Sports. Right from the beginning, the Center has isolated, “confinement to barracks” for athletes, stepped up the work of antiseptic, environmental sanitation, ensured to wear masks when working, exercising. In response to the requirement to reduce the majority of the number of troops, the Center had to remove 200 coaches and athletes from the Hanoi units, the Army and the Police whose home in Hanoi to train at home, and retain about 70 % of troops. Every day, the Center maintains all stages well; the people in and out of the agency are limited. Currently, the athletes training at the Center to prepare for the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam are still maintained stably, while the athletes who have not passed the Olympic qualifiers are still training hard.
