Working at Thang Long Musics Theatre, yet meritous artist Khanh Hoa is often known as a person with no fear of difficulty and harship when she comes out to bring her art performances to soldiers and ethnic minority people in the border and island areas. The singer coming from Thanh Hoa province often says with confidence and joyful smiles “Happiness is to share love and compassion”.
It really made me think much about the word “Khanh Hoa”- the name of the wholehearted female artist. I had no idea as to whether she was born in either Khanh Hoa province or anything associated with Truong Sa island district (Spratly island)? Then I had a chance to meet and talk with her, knowing that she was born in a poor countryside of Ngoc Lac district (Thanh Hoa province) and this name she is bearing was put by her parents accidentally. That was the predestined reason. She has been attached with Truong Sa and spent much sentiments to it. It is no surprise she is not belonging to the armed forces, but has had 6 times to travel to Truong Sa and has been named as “The Girl of Truong Sa”.

Since 2009, It was the first time she went to Truong Sa and felt the enormous sacrifice of the island soldiers. Due to lack of sentiments, they welcomed visitors like their family relatives. That was why in May 2012, not surprisingly when she coupled with Director, People’ artist Viet Huong and the filming team set out to Truong Sa so as to make an album “So close Truong Sa” including 7 songs: “Truong Sa vitality”, “Spring in Truong Sa”, “Life’s time”, “Singing in faraway island”, “Not to compare me with ocean”, “Sea star”.
Other than that, Meritous artist Khanh Hoa frequently takes part in charity shows at the hospitals of Saint Paul, Viet Duc, Bach Mai… with the theme “Bringing musics to hospitals”. She also joins the propaganda activities for the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and performs at the pedestrian streets. Recently, she together with Thanh Hoa province’s artist association have donated 50 million dongs for purchasing equipments and kits for the Covid-19 protection and prevention. She has achieved outstanding results at the contests as: National Arts Festival, Indochinese Arts Festival… And she has particpated in coaching and training many entries who wish to study at professtional arts college, of which there are top 2 students in the contest to apply for Ha Noi Arts College. It can be said that Meritous Khanh Hoa is dynamic like “shuttle” at work. For her, life is a unceasing flow, ss long as being still working, devoting and taking part in social activities, how meaningful our life is!
